Tags: Escavator, Mr Potato Head
I received a surprise sms from QQ’s former kindergarten teacher, Mrs Wong a few days back. She mentioned that she have got some fun toys to pass down to my kids. Because we have so much junk at home (and not wanting to pick up the toys everyday for the kids), I politely declined and say no thank you to her.
Mrs Wong again insisted that I should go and take a look at what she has got. So I drove over one morning, and did my FOC green shopping. Guess what, all her toys are AWESOME!!

Mr Potato Head and friends (Playskool Mr. Potato Head Spud Buds) and some Heavy Equipments Trucks
Aren’t they cute? I fell in love the Potato Head immediately and it reminds me of the Toy Story 3 we have just watched very recently. The fun part is, the faces, hats, limbs and shoes can be dismantle so that the kids can mix match the combination by sticking them to the body (I have got a Potato, a Carrot and a Corn!)

There is a very nice Forklift (where it’s fork level can be adjusted) and a Excavator (which can be dismantle and combine with other parts like the tower crane, changing wheels to the chain and so).
As hubby is now attached to heavy equipment related job, we have wanted to find these simple heavy equipment toys for the boys, but they are extremely costly so we did not get any for them. They have enough of their sister’s cooking junk to play, anyway.
Besides these, there is also a good tunnel (to be assembled in a creative way), educational wooden doll, and swimming gears too. Will take picture on those and update here soon.
Aren’t the boys so blessed? Not only the toys benefit the boys, even my big buffalo QQ is fighting over them.
We probably get something that is so valuable without knowing the price of the toys. Thank you so much again, to Mrs Wong for your kindness.

We are very lucky to have very good neighbours. One of them is QQ’s ex-nanny. She is like a mother to me, grandma to the boys now. We bring the boys over almost every morning to let the boys play with a boy whom the nanny care for now (also a close friend’s son).
Another neighbour has got a girl same age with QQ. Each weekend evening, they go out to play together. Although they do not go to the same school and only sees each other on weekend, QQ call Iris (that little girl’s name), her best friend.
Now that we are thinking getting another place. We do not need anything bigger than our current house, but we hope to move to a place with a better environment, for instant an upgrade to a gated community housing area. It’s much safer for the kids, a better return for us too, when we sell our house in future.
Of course, money is still the biggest issue here, but we are putting the money issue aside first, hoping that we will find ways to finance our dream home. Another concern that I have is that upgrading to another expensive neighbourhood will eat up all our current savings for emergency and also the kids education.
So I asked hubby,
Me: “How about the fund for their study?”
Hubby: “JPA”
Me: What is they can’t get it?
Hubby: Sell the house and both of us move into a small condo
Good choice, since old folks does not need super big space. Furthermore, I don’t think I’ll have the energy to manage a big house later. But how about our neighbours whom we love so much? How about Iris? QQ asked. She said she do not want to move to another place, neither do I wish to separate with our beloved neighbours.
Have you experience the same too, when you moved out from your old place to another place?

Although now I hardly update our activities here, we are still very much attached to meet up, plays and visits. A few weeks back, we have a little visitor to our place. See how my boys enjoy kepit their chubby little girlfriend during her visit.

Can recognise who is this little girl sitting between the boys?
And then we also attended a very nice birthday party at Fullhouse. I was indeed very excited about going there, because I have heard and seen so much on this cafe, and yet no chance to go there until then.

Recognise some familiar faces the picture?

Both the boys behaved so well that they were sitted most of the time so we also get to eat in peace (except that we have a Kakak running in and out bringing them, one by one to the loo:)

All doctors checked on my pregnancy did mentioned about the boys are monozygotic (meaning they are identical twins). Although you might see lots of similarity on them, but if you see them daily, both boys will look very different you (outer physically from head to toe not to mention their opposite characters!)
I thought non-identical twins will look very different, like Annie Q’s twin boys but Irene kept on saying that her twins are non-identical. So we decided to get some parents out there to judge and see picture below and judge for us, k.

Pics taken at Irene’s twins, Eden and Aiden’s 2 year old birthday party
Tell me, don’t Aiden and Eden looks the same? I see one is more chubbier than the other. Apart of that, they looks EXACTLY the same to me. What say you?

Shall we see some pictures of the kids, at gathering we went to. Sorry, no group pics of mummy here as I gained so much weight and look very awful, as compare to many slim mummies out there

Gathering at Sin Lee’s place
Each year, my uni-mates (also house-mates) and I still make attempts to gather at least once a year. Most of us have a least a pair of kids by now and I am still at the lead (with 3 kids = 3 Angpows, YAY!!)

My very friendly boys with Aunty Siaw Wei and hubby
See how much weight they have lost? Korkor had 2 courses of antibiotic over the month (So “sam thong” when I look at them, sigh
)

Girls at Lion Dance
Together with some other blogging mummies, we also went to visit Jacss and her new baby after hubby got his new auto insurance quote for this new year. Irene, Jo-N and us were the first to arrive so we had plenty of time savoring the extremely yummy Chu Keok Chou (Vinegar Pork Knuckle) and Rice Wine Chicken. Forgot to ask Jacss if her Confinement Lady is good, but I tell you, her cooking is really superb (hubby who had a chance to taste the yummy dishes said it is even better than my 2 previous confinement lady). Hmm…shall keep her in mind (as if I still wanna plan for another confinement, jialat!)

Loving brother and sister sitting quietly at the living hall while their Mummy Chanel busy yakking away..
Chanel, Paik Ling, Peggy, Wen and Shireen came later. I think our laughter, and the kids messiness almost tear the house down. Nice to meet up with all of you again.

Pretty Baby C being kepit by my boys
These are all the pics I managed to catch at the gathering. We had to leave first and the boys were knocked out the moment they went into the car.

Guess what I did yesterday? After breastfeeding my boys by letting them latch directly on me for more than a year, I started pumping again yesterday. No, the milk isn’t for the boys, but for a friend’s premature baby who is still in ICU. Born at only 33 weeks, the baby is still on tube.
Not wanting to pump in between feed (to avoid contamination from my boy’s saliva), I woke up to pump before they woke up. To my surprise, I could get only 1 oz yesterday morning when I pumped. Aiyo…don’t tell me they have been surviving only with this amount of milk all these while? No wonder they are so underweight! !
I hope my dear friend will have very strong will and persistant to breastfeed her premature baby this time as she gave up breastfeeding her 3 older girls previously. (She is now at the Dr Koe - lactation consultant’s clinic seeking for help to get the milk out of her engorged breasts).

Can guess where this babywearing meets take place? hehe…we actually went to visit a mum who is still in her confinement (but with full fan and air-con blasting to the max, hahaha!)

We had a babies/ toddler meet up during Raya holiday. See these 2 newborns having their first play date? Isn’t it so lovely seeing this sweet little baby girl lying down sleeping so soundly beside her newborn friend?

It was also the second gathering with baby Brandon (who is 2 weeks younger but 2 kg more than my boys!) Unlike 10 months ago, this time, they are able to walk and sit down to play by themselves. Time really flies and I think at the next round meeting up, our boys will be old enough to have their own Rocky Patel cigars party!

The 5 years old were enjoying themselves with kids toys, good that here there are plenty of toys to play. See, even the kids know how to divide themselves into different age groups while playing.

It is so great seeing all of you again, ladies. Let’s hope we will be able to stay-in-touch and continue to share our funny parenting moments for many many more years to come.

While we were back to Melaka, I took the opportunity to visit Miche and her kids again (also to collect the pineapple jam made by Miche’s mum).

There wasn’t anyone at home this time, except Miche and her kids. Therefore my kids were not shy this round and were happily playing away with the toys and riding front and back in Miche’s house.

Peranakan dishes: Ayam Pongteh, Asam Fish, Fried long beans, Mix vege, and Mee Sua Soup
Miche even asked her mum to come over and cook up a delicious storm of Nyonya dishes for us. “Miche, I am going to learn to make nice Ayam Ponteh and your Ikan Goreng Asam too!”
Wouldn’t have agreed go to her house for lunch if I knew her MIL and maid is not around. Poor girl, I do not know how she manage to take care of 4 kids plus one BIG house.

Tai Bak, one of the Peranakans’ desserts
Although I grow up in Melaka, I have not tasted or seen the Tai Bak dessert. Miche’s mum made this cooling dessert (just like those green cendol except it is made from rice flour). Miche told me that Tai Bak is to be eaten cold with sweet sugar syrup to cool the body. Just simply delicious.

Can you see how BIG is baby Ezra? Almost same size with my 15months boys!
Saw the beautiful and natural compound at her home? Besides many swings hung under their shaddy trees and 3 big fish pond, can you see there is even an elevated play area for the kids at the left under the tree? This reminds me of my late Great Grandmother’s place where I used to play when I was young. Will definitely dump hubby and ask him go check out the insurance quotes and such so I can visit Miche and spend one whole day there with my kids when the boys are older enough to play and run wild again. Just simply love this place.

Look closely at the girls (Clarissa and QQ). Don’t they look funny with double specs each?

Oh…no..no..no, it’s not me. Not yet.
Yesterday I was so happy to find out another friend of mine is gaving birth in another 2 months time. Although I have been seeing her daily as she comes daily to help me fetch and pick up my girl to school, she was so skinny that I did not even realise that she is actually pregnant with her fourth baby! Silly me…
After 6 years since she last had her 3rd child, I am sure her family (especially her 3 grown up girls) will be excited to welcome a tiny new baby into their family. Since all her baby stuffs have been given away, I guess she will have to soon stock up some natural baby products soon again.

The boys were up extremely early, before it was even 7am. It was a mad rush preparing the kids, and I left my 30 Minnie butter cookies at home
Getting enough of the butter cookies, I definitely not wanting to eat another one anymore. Shall get QQ to distribute them in school tomorrow.
We left home exactly by 8am, after feeding them so morning cereal so they can continue to sleep in the car on our way.

Kids happily in stream, picture from Kristie
It was a great day, not too sunny. Water from the stream is cooling. QQ only stand aside watching the kids enjoying their play, but afraid to get into the water and made herself muddy. Earlier her father brainwashed her saying that the water is from nowhere, which made me quite dissappointed.

Standing mini flags on the beautiful Birthday Brownies
Each birthday kid comes with a flag and stand their name on it. Boy, I tell you, the brownies are so delicious besides beautifully decorated with a Garden Theme (thanks to Millie who got them for us).

Waiting to blow the candles
Kids sitting in front of their Birthday Brownies. We have a cake knife (so luckily we did not have to use a box cutter). But we forgot bringing lighter with us. In another words, all of us obviously blessed with good husbands who do not smoke. We should have use the rocks!
I did not take much pictures as I am too tied up, with don’t know what.

Didi playing with his pressie wrappers while QQ had knocked off!!
Poor kids, we then make a quick trip to Ikea since we were already in that area and then to my SIL’s place to collect something.

A sling blocking the sun ray getting into sleeping Korkor’s face
We always use the sling to cover the kids especially when they sleep in long distance travel.

Look at how much pain the mummies have gone preparing the gifts for the kids. We definitely had lots of fun!
Thank you thank you!!!!

Instead of bringing presents, you shall bring:

- Free play & Craft (a team of 3 mummies who can prepare simple crafts ideas related to nature)

Not sure how big our group will be, but I would surely appreciate some offline and on-site helpers on areas for the above. Wonder if we should do minor decor to a spot in the garden like those in used inbaby shower party decorations? I think better not otherwise there will be lots of cleaning to do…..
Attention to June babies
If you have a child who is born in June and wish to celebrate together, just contribute RM10 so we all can share just ONE BIG cake. Just leave me a comment here and I’ll get back to you in details.

By now, I guess many of us must have known that our dear friend Shireen’s baby C (3rd daughter) who is currently walking on a very tough road of recovery, since her first operation 5th of May. She has just admitted for another operation today.
I know it is difficult not to imagine the baby’s current condition right now if you have seen it on Shireen’s blog, but instead of focusing the tired and weak baby C, shall we lets use the Law of Attraction to “VISUALISE” the happy and healthy Baby C as the above picture. I believe we can all send positive vibes and energy baby C for a quick recovery and come back home again soon.
Update as 25 May: Baby C is now still on drips and just had an anema. She need to fart soon to prove that the surgery has been successful and no more obstruction on her guts. If only she could *FART* soon…..

Me with a pose with cool Di-di
Can’t help but want to post this picture on my blog although I have posted it in Mama Patch’s blog. Among all the babywearing pictures that I have, this is my favourite! Thanks to Jaz from Two Pixels for her great photography skill.
The Kangaroo carry
It was also the first time of me wearing my boy the “Kangaroo way” (where he was sitted cross legged inside the pouch). This is obviously a better sitting positioning for him so that he could see the world on what is happening in front of him instead of being held facing me. Initially I was a bit sceptical to put him this way as I am afraid if his leg will be twisted, so he does not sit very long in this position.
But when I think back, they were being held on Tummy to Tummy position (whole body facing me with legs folded in the sling, sitting like a frog) when they were younger. Same, legs all folded inside the fabric. I was worried too initially, but thanks to Dr.Jamie, she assured me it is fine and in fact, little baby are suppose to snuggle securely inside mummy, instead of being expose in the air just like that. No wonder my babies were not willing to sleep inside their expensive twin stroller
It was only at about 5~6 months, carry them in sitting position (golden rule: bum lower than knee) with legs dangling out. Thank God their feet are fine, as of today. Obviously this proves that the “Mat Salleh” (western) way of babywearing is correct. *phiew*

*note: big 5-yr-old baby is not suppose to be sling by mummy anymore
As usual, our short session ends with a photo of QQ sitting in my sling. Excuse me for my chubby face and flabby arms. See, I always look better if I don’t laugh like that and hide my arms behind like the first picture, right? QQ was wriggling and moving here and there until I did not spread out the fabric on my shoulder sling properly!
If you wanna know what are the other positions we can use with a sling, visit more at my mama patch blog. See also how my sexy man was forced wearing his son, WAKAKAKAKA!!!
**Thanks again to Two Pixels, for this great session (*hint hint*…do check out on their photography package before they revise their pricing in May!)
**Mama Patch Ring Sling is also available at Tiny Tapir Baby, 3rd Floor Ampang Park, KL

Our dear friend, Miche has given birth to her 4th baby yesterday. Now she has one pair of girls and one pair of boys. Really blessed with the best gift from God.
Look at her, still looking so fresh. I remember I looked so bloated as if my face had been punched after given birth to my boys. She just told me she is very sleepy so I could not get more info about her new baby. If she is breastfeeding her boy fully now, I think she will surely slim down in no time, as she is already so skinny. How envy that a woman like her can eat like a horse, and do not even need any appetite suppressants.
See more photos of baby Ezra here.
