I love huge garden too!!

A home with a huge garden like the above really looks “shiok” hor? Little Tee is so lucky to be able to run around hitting her golf balls and pick her star fruits from her grandparent’s huge garden. She must be treated like a little queen there with her grandparents, how I envy you, Patsy!!

I wonder if there would be this one day I would own and provide something so marvellous for my kids. Probably a course where I can swing the golf balls? Nah…probably by the time I could afford it, my children would be too old to enjoy them.

*Unless I bury myself into personal loans or home improvement loans, otherwise there would be no way I can afford such luxury in a short time.

IVA help for young couples

Although not living wealthily, I just realise how lucky I am as comparing to some of my friends. Before we got married, at least we managed to buy a house called our home with some savings from hubby’s salary for down payment. While chatting on a breakfast the other day, I just found out a friend of mine had lots of financial problem and had to refer to IVA for help prior to her marriage. Luckily with the IVA help, they then went to work in overseas for 8 years and with some good earnings, now they manage to stand independently on their feet again.

The New “Chicken Little”

See this New Chicken Little?

This is QQ’s 1+ year little cousin brother.

This condition is called squint (or “tau kai ngan” in Cantonese) where one eye may turn inwards, outwards, up, or down. When one eye turns the eyes can no longer work together as a pair and a squint develops.

This condition can develop before birth (especially if the baby is delivered pre-matured) or soon after birth.

According to specialist, untreated squints can lead to loss of vision (lazy eye) in the squinting eye. That’s why sometimes we see adults with squint tend to look another side as if the eye is not longer function looking at us when we are talking to them.

This little baby is lucky that her mum discovered this situation very early. The only way to save his right eye from permanent damaged is to wear a very special baby specs which is so pricey not to mention the treatment itself.

Thank goodness we are all blessed with beautiful and healthy child. Just imagine how horrible if the parents are in bad debt and has to seek for debt solutions to pay for their child’s expensive treatment……*phiew*

Free interest purchase

We have so much debt these days. Not only we need to do consolidation loan for our vehicle and house, but with the free instalment of small home use appliance, we would even grab the opportunity of going into this simple irresistible free interest loan.

The other day I was actually bugging hubby about getting the expensive 7K rainbow vacuum machine since they offer a free instalment using the Maybank credit card. But hubby wasn’t so fancy about getting himself into anymore commitment since he has to pay for our car and home loan now. It is good in a sense to control our credit card usage otherwise we could run into bad debt situation.

Broken homes

Broken families are normally caused by these few problems. Either the new couples are too young when they got married and not ready to commit themselves, or they are stuck with financially difficulties. These couples probably just graduate from their studies and not secured any stable income to support a family. Thus, many would resort to take up some loan or over spend on their credit cards for their unplanned expenditure. Bankruptcy is normally the last resort for serious debt solution. Unfortunately not many people know they can seek for free debt help before it is too late.

New home? No thank you.

Moving to new home really requires lots of cash money. I remember when we first moved into this little hut, a little bit here and there made a lot of difference to our dear tight pocket. With the limited fund, we did not renovate our home but just touch up to make it look comfy. Luckily we have some small saving and with that, we manage to install all the necessity and furnish our home moderately. I really cannot imagine how we are going to clear the loan since we are still heavily burdened with our housing installment at the moment.

Supplementary card for your kid

Would you considering giving a supplementary card to your child when he goes to university or college later on? My siblings and I were pretty lucky to own a credit card when we went to university. We even get a cash loan for our tuition fee with very low interest. That basically covered all our education expenses and we only serve the instalment later on when we came out to work. The credit card was very useful during travel or when we need to spend urgently. Of course we were careful that we don’t simply swipe on the card during our shopping spree, haha……

Do we still need overdrafts?

Bank overdrafts, facility to withdraw money through cheques even though there is not enough money in the account for cover them. It is indeed rather convenient to most business owners, but with their high interest rate charge on the overdrawn, it can be risky if it cost too much in the end. With cheaper cash loan, not only the interest charged is much lower, money can be released on the same day too, for some companies. For emergency, this fund would come useful as long as money obtained here is not misused or spend unnecessarily.

Value of spending

Getting into debt or having poor money management can cause lots of trouble, not only to oneself, but also family members. We often hear about harassment from debt collectors when one failed to pay up on time. Sadly even with such awareness, a person who is desperate for money can fall into this trap very easily. The only way to solve this problem of course is the courage to seek for debt advice help. So, it is essential to keep an eye on our children to control their habit of spending from young to promote learning on the value of spending.

Cheaper loans from mum probably?

24.10.07 / finance, the community / Author: chinneeq / Comments: (0)

Every month we spend so much on serving on interest instead of clearing loans. I am sure most of you out there feel the same as I do and that is one of the main reasons that stretch our loan tenure even longer. How nice if we could just borrow from a place, without much interest imposed at the same time if we could earn more by lending rather than keeping in the banks saving account. My friend is lucky when she had her mum paid cash for her car but only pay back to her mum slowly through a lower installment.

How to survive with more kids?

I want more kids but how to survive ah? Every month, many of us juggle a housing loan, two car loans and some even on outstanding debt from five or more credit cards. With two-thirds of the monthly household salary going to the debts, living can be quite burdening too, especially family with more kids. Raising children today is so expensive. Without a proper debt management, it can lead us to a bankruptcy could increase risk of loosing our house, all our assets, cars and even our job! Sigh….we really got to be careful with our spending and spend wisely so that we can lead a good example so that our future generation, that over-spending especially with credit cards a definitely a no-no.

Possible to live debt free?

10.10.07 / finance, the community / Author: chinneeq / Comments: (0)

I wonder how many of us are able to live debt free, free from credit cards (that’s me), free from car loan and the expensive home loan (how I wish too I can). Most of us have to work so hard our life and earn money to clear the debt to have a transport to work, to have a roof over our head. With a family plan for more kids in this expensive city, can someone please offer me some free debt advice so that I can manage my debt wisely?
