SHY- that is the main reason why I wanted QQ to take up something. Since she loves dancing, I feel that she will be able to “release” herself freely when she dance. I just can’t put her into anything else, although i would very much like her to take up Speech and Drama, to overcome shyness.

U know, I almost smacked her in her first trial class. We have been talking about ballet so long and finally I dragged along my “DOREMI” on that day just to bring her for trial. I knew immediately that is something what she wants when I saw her her teacher dancing with the girls but she just refuse to join in. Fine, I left my boys outside with the maid and go in with her. She hided behind me and refuse to join in too. I was furious and I asked her if she wants to go home immediately. Told her she can forget about dancing and ballet FOREVER.

Luckily teacher understand her silly fear, and ask us to just sit back and just let her observe. I tell you, her eyes SHINE looking at those girls dancing! 15 mins before the class end, teacher softly asked her if would love to join in and she STILL REFUSE. Boy…I was *boiling* already (pity my boys outside while maid alone struggle to feed them their brought along dinner). So I offer to dance in with the class and then slowly only she willing to go in with me. After a while, I went out of the door, to see the boys and assured her that I’ll be back in the class.

U know what, I peeped in and she seems fine. SO HAPPY AND FINE! Very much enjoying the movement and concentrating on the teacher! And now, she is the one always waiting for Friday to come, preparing herself and keep on rushing us how many hours to go before reacher her class.

This girl of mine is really not easy to deal with. However I am glad we went through it ….

P/s: If you have a girl like QQ who loves dancing, you might wanna check out for trial lessons near to your place. Afterall ballet is not very expensive as long as they do not go for exams (I was told exam is not required until Grade 4) which requires frequent attendance twice per week, hence double the monthly fee plus upgrade of costume after every grade.

Love to dance

Not sure if I posted this already, (age must be catching up too quickly), but this is another great milestone for QQ, and I should not miss posing this in my blog!

After much dilly dally, we finally enrolled QQ into ballet class last month, after much consideration of fee, and most importantly, commitment to attend.

I knew exactly that ballet is exactly what she wants when we first joined the first trial class together. As usual, she was pretty shy on her first lesson, until I had to offer to “dance” along the cute little girls (you will surely laugh your head off seeing one big elephant stomping in the ballet class if you were there).

Fee incured (Stage: Pre-Primary)

  • *Registration: Rm30
  • *Deposit: Rm60
  • *Monthly fee: Rm60 (once a week, 45mins per class. Replaceable if class falls on public holiday)
  • *Costume: Rm165 (leotard, skirt, socks, shoes)

It was her 3rd class today, and she has been looking forward to Friday every since then. This evening, while Kakak putting the boys to sleep, I thought I better catch a good nap since it was still an hour away to her class. Surprisingly when she woke me up, I found that my excited happy girl had

  • *showered by herself
  • *changed into her leotard
  • *packed her “pom-pom” into her bag
  • *get her hair nicely bun up by Kakak
  • *filled up her water tumbler
  • *packed her bag

She even told me that she had to wake me up for her class instead of having me to wake her up (I usually do when I have to drag her out of bed for school in the morning).

I peeped her through the glass door today. Nothing can be happier than seeing my shy little girl smilling and giggling happy while dancing in her class! I feel so relieve that she finally found something she loves :)

*girls are just so cute and sweet, right? how not to wish for another ler???
