Our Traditional CNY Dish: Fish Maw Soup

In the past, I never like eating food like Fish Maw, Sea Cucumber, or even stinky bean petai. It was late MIL’s cooking that changed it, forever.
Late MIL used to cook using charcoal and to me, her dishes (especially soup) were the best in the whole wide world!
One of hubby’s is the Fish Maw Soup [...]

Badly scratched National inner rice pot

Our daily lunch basket, for the kids to dine out, right after their morning classes
We have been cooking a lot at home, after I had the boys. I prefer preparing variety lunch, like noodles, sandwiches, but I find that the twins eat better if I cook rice. So, everyday, we cook two meals and most [...]

Blend..blend..blend

Talk about weight management, real shame on me!
I am so into the adventure of food making now. Ever since I discovered how to make good use of my cheap Philip blender which I redeem from credit card points many years back, I have been finding things to blend and blend! I blend juice and vege [...]

Stop baking for a moment

I think I have not been touching my oven ever since I baked for Chinese New Year. It is good in a sense that I will not over eat too much as I love cakes. Not only it is fattening, cakes are really oily and bad for skin too. I’ll need some best acne remedy [...]

We all sound very sexy now

It is only about a week to Chinese New Year but the boys have not recovered. Korkor still has his fever coming on and off, and both of them still have sticky diarhoea-like poo. Korkor has not been eating for many days already. Luckily I have not wean them so at least they still get [...]

So much into cooking

Must be stress again or what, I am so into cooking these days (instead of baking). I enjoy learning to cook new dishes, especially spicy food since there is a Kakak to help me pound cilli and ingredients. See what I have learn to cook very recently.

Bake Wings + Red Eggs for the boys

I love celebrations. It has been a while since the TAN’s birthday and I feel bored again. Since we already have so many celebrations for the boys (until QQ also asked me how come her brothers got so many birthdays), I decided just to do something simple here on the actual date of the boy’s [...]

Choux Puffs for a Saturday tea

While posting some choux puffs I baked earlier this afternoon, I just realised that I forgotten to post what I did for my boy’s first birthday on their actual birthday celebration at home. Silly me…don’t know what’s wrong with me these days. Last time I make sure I will upload at least a posting everyday [...]

Cupcakes ain’t cake?

I am so pissed off with him last night that I had to scream at him while having our dinner (if I still have those cupcakes with buttercream, I’ll throw them onto his face!)
Since the day I started to bake a few years back, I have been telling myself that I would one day want [...]

All that I done for CNY

By having my new oven this year, I am so tempted to bake, bake and bake for the Chinese New Year celebration (don’t care if the boys cries echo behind!, *sweating and panting*

See my first attempt of Bak Kua (dried meat). No need to grill on charcoal. I just used my oven to bake them. [...]

Gluten free baby cereal

Although the boys are now moving into their 7th month, I have yet to start “double-boil” (hehe…so ambitious..) their porridge. Will only do so once we settle down from travelling after the CNY.
It is so difficult to find organic baby cereal these days. Yesterday while hunting for one in 1U (where I bought the Holle [...]

Cashewnut cookies (2nd CNY cookies)

These 2 weeks will be very busy for me. Since Audrey will be here to accompany (helping, actually) me to bake, we decided that we will bake all our CNY this year. After sending her boys to school, she comes over to my place, and even shopped for all the baking ingredients for me. Such [...]
