Bumbo Boys like school…

******PHIEW*****

Ever since the boys started school, they are quite co-operative in the morning.Surely I still get some unreasonable whining at times, especially when they boys sleep late or were just having a bad day.

But still I consider myself lucky enough that both of them could get up so early at this age, coz we need to hit the road by 7.15am.

Although school only starts at 8am (well, at age 4, all they do is PLAY anyway), I love the cool breeze and dim cloud when we reach school before most of the kids do. I could stay longer lingering around to see what my kids play with, talk to teachers and even get to know their friends (their friends must think that this Aunty very busybody)

Early this week, their class teacher bought 4 live chicks and rear them just outside their classroom. So you can imagine how excited were the kids. Kids from other classes also come to visit the chicks everyday.

Now I am wondering if the teacher would wanna rear them until it grows up or at least coo coo? Sorry, I cannot tell if those 5 chicks above are female or male.

Some crafts and mandarin oranges plucking game for the kids

In just 2 months, the boys have had twice water play where they had to wear full swimming attire to school. I do not remember what they did in the pool on the first round, but this time, my boys reported they  did fishing where each kid were given a plastic netting scoop to scoop out required floating color balls. Apparently teachers were teaching them about COLORS.  **Shiok eh!**

And the best part, is that both of them come back home dead tired that they could nap the entire afternoon, giving me some peace to sit down and *type..type..type…* here.

My preschoolers come home telling me lots of cute little stories and what they learn daily in school. Parenting little kids get really fun when our toddlers attend preschool because we get involve in all the fun school projects they learn and do.

But certainly not when our kids go to real formal school!

Now we are so excited and looking forward to their very first Parent-Teacher Meeting this week (and I anticipated it is gonna be even more exciting than internet video conferencing with my tagging along boys!)

  1. Ahhhhh!!!! That’s what pre-school should be like - fun and learning together. Here, the parents insist on books, examinations…or they will take them elsewhere. No wonder the children are miserable and hate school

  2. I plan to send BBC to pre school in June. I think she will love it. Only worried that she will fall sick frequently. Glad that your boys are adapting themselves so well.

  3. It’s good that a preschool emphasizes on play and living skills. Happy to know that your boys are happy attending school. Ehh, I used to be able to tell apart the boys when they were younger…from this photo, I can’t really tell… is kor kor the one on the left? They surely has grown up so much :)

Chloe’s school starts at 8.30 so we usually wake up at 7:45 and leave home at 8:20 :) Anyway, you are really blessed that the boys love school… give u less stress and headaches :) Aah the chicks, just like the rabbits in Chloe’s school, the kids just adore them, right?
