Be “My Little PRINCESS”, capture the magical moment!

I saw this promotion on Disney website, but did not want to think about it because its kinda pricey (everything in there is pricey, in fact!)

But when we enter Disneyland on our first day, I saw many cute little girls dressed up in all kinds of princess gowns. Oh..they all just look so cuteee…..

When QQ told us she wanted to to be Cinderella, I was very shock ecause our usual shy QQ won’t like anything that would draw attention from the public.

From their catalogue, they offer 3 different packages:

  1. Value Package HK$350 - includes hair styling and crown, shimmering make up and 8″x10″ photo
  2. Deluxe Package HK$650 - includes hair styling and crown, shimmering make up and 8″x10″ photo PLUS a gown of choice (Cinderella, Aurora, Belle, Tinkerbell, Rapunzel)
  3. Premium Package HK$830 - includes hair styling and crown, shimmering make up and 8″x10″ photo PLUS a gown of choice (Snow White and Giselle)

Three different packages available

So when we called the hotel to inquire about this make over package, they told us photography would only be available on weekends. If we choose Deluxe Package, price would reduce from HK$650 to HK$580 without the 8″x10″ photo with premium photo folder.

Well, look like we have got no choice but to agree and appointment was set to 11am on our second morning at Disneyland.

After checking out  and leaving our baggage at our hotel lobby,QQ and I got down at Disneyland Hotel for the make over while the rest proceed to Disneyland straightaway.

But when we got to the souvenir shop, the in charge person asked us to pick a gown and try it on first. Initially QQ wanted Cinderella but when she reaches there, she wants that yellow gown of Princess Belle.

Unfortunately it was kinda too short and just slightly below her knee. I don’t really fancy yellow either so I get her to choose another one.

We finally settle for their new Rapunzel dark purple and pink dress. But then Rapunzel’s package would not comes with a crown but instead it has a floral braided-wig. QQ did not like that. We were asked to pay for whatever item we want first before going for the make over. Hence I was thinking, a HK$50 reduction isn’t a great offer for an incomplete package so why not we just buy the gown. At least QQ get to choose a crown of her choice instead of that long wig. I did her hair myself and the staff helped me to secure the crown. *smile*

By the way, Twinilla said gowns are even more pricier over here in Malaysia or any else where so it is still a good bargain if you wish to get one for your princess inside Disneyland. Later on I saw some at Stanley Market but the quality wasn’t good. Not sure if you would also be able to get this at la femme prom dresses online

Princess Rapunzel-Qi arrives at Disneyland

By the time we were done, QQ arrives at Disneyland at around 1pm. We just love to see her in this dark purple and pink dress.

Hubby said we could make her utilize this gown at least twice, once in her cousin’s coming wedding dinner soon and my brother’s wedding next year in April. Hope she won’t grow so much taller by then, hehe…..

QQ got the most expensive present in this trip and most important, I am happy that she at least dare to dress up in public like that.  After putting on the gown, I could see that she has more confidence and would even request to take picture with the characters. Money for this gift is certainly well spent when we see her so happy in this dress and she certainly deserves this for behaved so well throughout the trip :)

Total Spent:

  • Rapunzel Gown HK$390
  • Crown of her choice HK$100

  1. nice!! I saw many girls wore princess costumes when I was at Euro and HK DIsney… well, at that time, my girl was still young and not so much into princess. Ha.. I bet if we were to go to any Disneyland, she will sure get her way … I know, I know, very expensive ..

QQ looks lovely in the costume …

  2. i have told my hubs about this…hahahaha…sure burn a big hole in his pocket this Saturday. But wonder do they have my Jem’s size? And, can the gown stand the cold because the temperature might below 10c this weekend.

  3. So meaning she did not take the makeover package?
What a wonderful dress and beautiful Princess QQ.

  4. She is pretty in pink and purple. You did a great job of creating a wonderful memory for QiQi.

  5. Wow…..your girl looks so pretty. Yes, it is every little girl’s wish to be the princess. Me too….but too bad I dont have the chance. If I do have a daughter, I’ll do that too…yes, money well spent!

  6. Pricey but worth lah, as long as she is happy, daddy mommy sure happy geh. Good that it actually built her confidence in front of other.

  7. It’s an investment :) Did QQ walk around the whole day in the costume?

  8. Yeah, seemed like it’s not worth it to take the pkg since it doesn’t incl photography. W/o taking the pkg, u actually paid less and got to choose the item that she really likes. She deserves to be pampered like a princess. Definitely money well spent.

  9. QQ was transformed into such a beautiful little princess! The dress makes a good souvenir too… can keep for her own daughter in the future, perhaps? ;)

  10. Definitely worth every penny of the investment. I don’t remember seeing that when we were there few years back. But then even if I did, I don’t have a princess to doll up. :( QiQi looked absolutely gorgeous in her gown.
