Eating spree in Kuantan

I don’t think I would be able to continue loosing weight anymore, especially with so many trips during the holiday. It would be GREAT enough if I do not put on anymore weight, haha!

When we reached Kuantan by evening, we drove directly to the Teluk Cempedak because the boys said they wanted to see the sea. Went to a good restaurant for dinner that made hubby’s jaw almost dropped when the bill came because it was SUPER CHEAP!! (forgot to catch any pic of that place though)

Kuantan in November is annually scheduled because we need to perform anniversary prayer to late MIL. Although we are always looking forward to dine out at so many places each time we go back, we did not eat out on that particular day because there was so much food to consume after the prayer :p

1st breakfast stop: Restaurant Remember Come

Hence eating spree restarted again on the last morning before we leave for KL. Don’t be surprise to see how much we have eaten that particular morning, hahaha…!

Curry Noodle @ Restaurant Remember Me

Although this curry noodle is not that very famous compare to the Hoi Yin Curry @ Teluk Cempedak, its always hubby’s family’s favourite since late FIL’s generation.

Unlike other curry noodle, this curry taste is rather unique and I suspect salted fish is their secret ingredient. Each bowl curry noodle will come with 4 pieces young tau foo where I always opt for their homemade Multilayer Rolled Fu Chuk with Fish Paste and their Homemade Fish Paste. Hubby had a bowl and I had one too, without any noodles :)

Not getting enough of it, I even tapau and freeze them back, haha…

Seafood Yee Mee @ Restaurant Remember Me

The main reason why this restaurant is always pack because many people come for their Tai Chow. We ordered one Seafood Yee Mee for the kids to share and it costs only Rm5.70 for one plate Yee Mee with 4 reasonably Big Prawns!

Now that everything has gone up in price over in KL, we suddenly feel that eating out in Kuantan become so cheap!

Kiddy Rides @ Taman Teruntum

Kids are always looking forward to go back to Kuantan just for one main reason, the Rides @ Taman Teruntum! Opens at 10am in the morning up to evening about 5pm. We usually go there on weekend so I am not sure if this opens on weekday as well.

Parking in front of Jabatan Landskap @ Taman Teruntum

In case you are wondering where this taman is situated, it is just the right (opposite the road) if you are driving to the beach from town. Drive into this taman and park your car in front of Jabatan Landskap.

Best ever Cendol @ Mustafa Cendol

Plain Cendol

Mustafa Cendol is the best for us, and we have not find any cendol that could beat this one until today.  We will patronize this place daily during our stay in Kuantan so we made a stop again after the rides.

A must have if you go to Kuantan one day. This shop is located next to the Shell Petrol Station on the opposite of the main road heading towards to Teluk Cempedak.

Ice Cream Cendol

Ordered an Ice Cream Cendol for the kids and found that it taste a bit weird. Still prefer the plain cendol though….

*Jilat sampai habis*

Restaurant Leo Star

After cendol, hubby asked if we want to continue eating so we drove to this shop called Leo Star for their very famous Kon Lou Mee.

Thick homemade noodles Kon Lou Mee @ Restaurant Leo Star

Another hubby’s childhood favourite dish! Unlike normal thin wantan noodle we usually have, noodles here is very thick with starchy sauce. I could not appreciate it when hubby first introduced to me, but I love it LOVE IT now.

Run by a few brothers, this Kon Lou Mee is quite famous among the local as it is extremely full especially during weekend morning. Best to go there at later in the morning or lunch during weekend. However they might sell out early on weekends.

I hope their new generation would take over this business because each time we go there, we could see that the aging brothers who used to cook, prepare, take orders are already missing (or gone) one by one :(

Our favourite Roti Canai Stall at a road junction (dono what name)

By 1pm, we thought we had enough for one morning and went back to pack our bags. Mana tau, BIL who just woke up from his early nap said he was hungry and asked us if we want to join him for Roti Canai. QQ jumped at the idea, goodness!

We drove out again to our favourite Roti Canai Stall (which used to sell very famous Roti Canai Planta), hahaha…..that’s the disadvantage of staying just in town!

Roti Canai here used to be so good and very famous because they use real PLANTA instead of oil for the dough. Unfortunately PLANTA price has gone up so much now and alternative oil has been used as replacement.

So much of eating for me, sigh…….and QQ too, with her recent increase appetite, hahaha…
