Bata Warehouse Sale @ Viva Home

Due to Di Zi Gui class on each Sunday morning, we hardly travel out to KL anymore on Sunday. But last Sunday was an exception because a friend sms to me saying that there was a Bata Warehouse Sale (where school shoes are only Rm5/pair or Rm10/pair!) at Viva Home!

Well, we have never like going to crazy warehouse sales with the boys, what’s more finding for kids shoes that require specific sizes. But since we have not been to the new Viva Home (previously UE3), we made the boys skipped their nap and off we go.

**Actually Rm5 /pair or Rm10/pair white shoes were surely attractive enough to make us drive there because we need to get 4 pairs white shoes for the boys in their new school (2 pairs for each boys :”( )

Boys flipping the menu

It wasn’t very crowded at the warehouse sales but we could not find what we want for the boys. Sad. Instead we got 2 extra pair bigger school shoes for QQ, hehe….

Then the kids complained that they were hungry and so thought to stop by this cafe for some tea before heading to a birthday party back near our home.

Hainan Tea Garden, Viva Home (top floor)

I saw quite many people sitting at this cafe called Hainan Tea. It was situated at the top floor and it was an open concept stall. And interesting enough, they even have 4x Ipad2 on their bar for customers use.

QQ was interested but no guts to sit by the bar (quite near to our table). So by the time she said she wanted to play, all four was played by other kids.

Brown Twister with Kaya (cute rolled up toast with kaya) and Hainan Brown Toast 3 Layers (with super thick butter, and spread of peanut butter and kaya)

Korkor said he wants noodle so I ordered a Hainan Noodle@Rm8.90  (similar to Wantanmee). Not bad!

Then hubby ordered some toast and to our delight, they are good. Good in terms of very generous filling compare to the petite toast served by the most famous, recent-public-listed Kopitiam (if you know which one I am referring to :p )

Princess Birthday Cake

After that, we drove back and straight to QQ’s ex-ballet teacher’s house. We were invited to her Open house and also to celebrate her 2 kids birthday. Hubby asked, how come teacher and everyone also is my KAWAN geh… haha……

It was a beautiful cosy Semi-D with clean white interior. The home decor to her Princess Party is beautiful but I was too shy to catch more shots than the cake above.

Kids excited with their party packs, ready to go home

  1. How’s the warehouse sale? Worth going or not? We wanted to go too 2 Sundays ago but something cropped up. The 3 layer toast looked so good.. yumzz..

  2. UE3, Cheras old Uncang Emas right. Not very near to me haha.
Wah the cake is really big and nice. Kids always excited and enjoy for birthday party.

  3. Sounds like VIVA is quite happening nowadays. I have only been there once. That time most of the shops are vacant still. Must go check them out again.

Ps: Read your FB status. Hope you’re feeling better.

  4. mmm.. I love kaya toast… I have just made some kaya… tomorrow’s breakfast would be kaya toast for me..

  5. Sometimes that happens at warehouse sales. They advertise some products at cheap prices but usually is limited stock, and some even taken up by the staff and ‘insiders’ before the sale starts.

  6. Oh my God - your photo of the kaya toast is making my mouth water! Slurps…
