Traveling far, to Logos Hope in Port Klang
The BIG SHIP is finally here!
On Saturday morning, we all woke up and set out early.

Restaurant Golden Spring, which is very famous for their Boh-lei Char Siu
Hubby thought we are travelling this far, so we might as well make a stop here, at the most sought Boh-lei (Glass) Char Siu in located so far in Shah Alam.

The very tender and mouth watering melting BBQ Pork Belly
After making lots of wrong turning, we reached our destination, right just before noon. The Char-Siu just taste as good as everyone describe, very tender in the between, plus a melting effect when the fats lands in your mouth.
The shop owner said that their serving is big, so she recommended 2 servings, but they arrived so small.
Boy, for something so good, how can it be enough?

Crispy Skin Roast Duck
Hubby then ordered another serving of duck breast for QQ and myself. It taste very ordinary, but the skin is surely very crispy. QQ and I love it!

Continue our journey to Pulau Indah
We then continue to driving up further, into Pulau Indah. It was not very “indah” (pretty) though, because there were plenty dangerous cargo and trucks, along on this narrow and badly mended road.

It was already drizzling when we reached there, and we just can’t help *WOOO-WAAAA* when we saw this from FAR!

Super Star Virgo, Cruise
It was our first time looking at the magnificent Super Star Virgo Cruise, something so huge, so grand in real!

Floating Book Fair, MV Logos Hope in Klang
But hubby said our destination was Logos Hope, that little cute ship, sitting next to the lavish ship, hahaha!!!!
*duh*…comparisons between the TWO ships, parking beside each other…
Quite a big difference eh, which I must admit, that I have some disappointment, because I was dying to catch a glimpse, on how the inside of a big cruise ship like Libra would look like…

Anyway, back to Logos Hope, kids were trying their hands on controlling the ship *_*

While hubby, who does not fancy books, were looking so blur and lost waiting for me, hahaha….
We did not stay on for long, nor get any books, because it feels stuffy in there. The crowd was not that huge, but because of the rain and low air cond, hubby was already complaining of the high humidity in the ship.

QQ’s new black SWAN TROLLEY BAG @ only Rm76.40 (after 15% off from Jusco)
We then drove down south to Jusco at Bukit Tinggi, for some air-con. And the MAIN REASON that can make QQ smile on that day, is to get her another new school bag.
Initially I thought of just mending up her broken handle (which she has been using since she was 5!) because there is only another month or so before the school ends. I was quite hesitate to get her a trolley bag, as I fear she might need to go up to higher floor class in Standard Two.
But I kinda like this new black bag. It is a new model from SWAN because it has solid handle and wheels. I hope this bag could last for about a year or so!

Tau-Hu-Kang (Bean curd soup) from Taman Berkeley Klang @ Rm15 (smallest claypot)
Before leaving Klang, we stop by our all-time-favourite restaurant in Klang, at the Gold Leaf Village. Previous review done here.

The bean-curd aka “shark fin soup” was so tasty until my kids can just finish their rice with it’s gravy!

Ying Yang Kailan from Taman Berkeley Klang @ Rm 12 (smallest serving)
I like this dish too, but the boys find the crispy shredded leaves taste weird…

Salted Egg Fried Mantis from Taman Berkeley Klang @ Rm16 (medium serving)
For this dish, I just had to order it bigger because I love it very much. In fact, this is the best Salted Egg Fried Mantis I ever had (comparing to same dish from other places).

Last but not least, some “colorful cupcakes” @ Rm5/3pcs from Jusco Supermarket
We reached home about 8.30pm, very exhausted, extremely happy and satisfied (hubby said because I get to eat many good food in a day!) and drop death tired!

I went to Logos more than once when I was young and still in school but of course, the ship was not as nice then. Ooooo….nice food! Drooling over the duck… Yummmm!!!!
I visited Logos more than once when I was young and still in school but the ship was not so nice then.
From Alycia’s experience with trolley bag and backpack, now we will stick to back-pack. Trolley bag will break and tear super easily as your kid will push and drag the bag all over the floor and hard tar road! The bag will be super black, dusty and dirty. WE changed 2 trolley bags in 1 year! Her new Minnie Mouse backpack which I bought for her early this year is still so nice, pink and sweet after using for 9 mths. So verdict is NO MORE trolley bag.
The food you have is kind of my liking.. Btw, I plan to go to the floating book fair …
I was supposed to go last weekend but could not make it
wah travel to Pulau Indah, no wonder long journey. Oh the char siew look juicy and tempting. So you manage to get some book there?
there’s no queue to go into logos hope? now i wonder if it’s worth it to make a trip there
May anyone know which port exactly the HOPE at? becoz there’s utara & Barat & Selatan port.
Yeah, I wish to make a trip this weekend too, hopefully it’
s not tht crowded.:)
Is the Logos Hope worth going, Chin Nee? How’s the selection of books offered and how’s the price? Been thinking of visiting it and let the kids see the ship up close
I was wishing to have a chance to board the Star Cruise….
Really so much of good food. From BBQ pork to fried mantis prawn….I like the ying yang kai lan.
So not worth going for the book fair? Got mixed opinions on this. At least the food more than made up for it!
Everyone seems to be talking about this Logos Hope.. makes me curious to go take a look too
Superstar Virgo is our dream boat too. Hope to go on it one day. We’ve been on the Superstar Libra though. If you are curious to see what’s inside and what we did there (5D4N), you can refer to my Nov 2009 archive.
I want to go book fair on Logos Hope too but it’s quite far from my place & many comment it’s very crowded. Re the school bag, you may look for IMPACT bag. It’s quite pricey but it’s lasting (what I see from my nieces) & good for kid’s backbone.
wuah …. it took u guys whole day out…that must be super tiring loh

been wanting to take a look & soon pin can eat seafood at klang but it’s exam season now, how to getaway leh
glad u finally found a bag u like!!
you guys seem enjoyed the makan around the town le…
The char siew and the food in Berkeley looks so yummy. We sometimes go to one restaurant in Berkeley too, but don’t think it’s called Gold Leaf Village.
