Shumatsu Japanese Buffet Dinner at Eyuzu Japanese Cuisine, Eastin Hotel

After putting to queue for 3 months, we finally waited until yesterday night to use our coupons, bought from everyday.com

QQ selecting her dishes from the “fried /grilled food” selection

It is fun for kids to be at buffet line, but quite a price to pay, especially for kids who do not eat much like mine.

Cold crab, my platter of Teriyaki Unagi and so many Baked Oyster, Fresh Cold Cut

The crab was skinny and tasteless. Perhaps I am not use to plain steam crab. There are abundance of Teriyaki Unagi but taste wise, so-so only.

I would say the best dish in this buffet was the Baked Oyster. Hubby and I had pieces of the Oysters. Its huge and super yummy!!!!!!

Chef at work behind the food counter

I read many blogs and they commented the Raw Fish from the cold cut section is good. Too bad, I don’t know how to appreciate those (even manage to force myself to “telan” 3 slices since they are now free, hehe). Unfortunately, I still don’t like them :p

Cakes from the deli counter (Carrot cake, Peanut Butter Cake, Choc Cake)

Not many choices of cakes but they look good enough to me. I fetched for the boys, but ended up finishing those delicious cake myself, YUMZ!!!

Thank goodness we were seated at a good corner, as I saw some were seated along the walkway, and some even outside the restaurant!

The boys (children under four dine for free) but they did not eat much, thanks to QQ who fed them Seaweed Crackers from the very beginning!

Unlike many youngsters who fetch their plate full, one after another, until I can see their eyes almost bulging out by 2 hours later, it is actually not very worth going for expensive buffet anymore. Both of us have aged so much, as we no longer can eat like our younger days :(

Thank goodness it was 51% off for this buffet, Rm46 per adult (same goes for kids) as I grabbed the coupons online from everyday.com.

  1. hhaa… finally u went to the buffet!!!:)

  2. Ya, same thought too… although we love buffets (esp Japanese ones), we can no longer eat as much as our younger days so it’s not very “dai” to pay for full price anymore hehe. Thank goodness there are all sorts of discount offers going around lately :)

  3. This was the deal that I missed out.. :(

  4. Totally agree, it’s not worth paying full price for buffet coz we really don’t eat much. But for Japaneses still ok la, those sashimi and oysters are darn expensive otherwise.

You had to wait 3 months to redeem? That’s the thing about these discounts - I bought one for hair salon and they are fully booked for months!

  5. Just curious, do you also belanja your maid when you all have buffet meals?
