Inheritance of the Olde English Countryside Transferware by Johnson Bros
I used to sit in front of my Grandma’s glass cupboard to admire this pottery set when I was very young.

Plate of theĀ Transferware patterned by Johnson Brother’s entitled Olde English Countryside

The very beautiful Teapot, with English Countryside scenery

Delicate hand engraved Saucer and Tea Cup sets, Made in England, originally be Johnson Brothers

I love this beautiful huge Creamer!
On the left, the picture depict a Mother and daughter outside of their cottage. The village water pump can be seen in the foreground
What a nice story line it has ;p

While the opposite details a row of thatched countryside cottages, guarded by a tattered fence overgrown with an abundance of charming flowers.
The very detailed scenery of this 4P complete piece transferware is just simply overwhelming. Each piece is hand painted, subtle touches of gold, pink, green and blue. This is referred to as polychrome or sometimes enameling where paint is applied within the confines of the transfer and then glazed over, thus making it permanent.
It is too beautiful and precious to be used and placed on our dinning table, especially by someone who is as clumsy as me, sigh…

Can send me the price?
Too beautiful to use. haha….I’m also a clumsy person. I’ve broke numerous glasses and bowls/plates since the day I married into the family. haha
aiyo… so many memories.. and you want to sell ? Perhaps you should keep for QQ !
I really love these English tea and dinner sets…but I don’t think I have any place to keep and display in my small house. My mum has a few nice sets too - my favourite would be the tea set with the three-legged cups…so beautiful. But I would never voice it out…in case people think I am after the inheritance. Just see and salivate… Sobssss!!!!
so precious. would be good to pass down to the next generation
They are masterpiece, I think you should keep it as collection. If me, I will buy and keep as collection. I would not use them at all.
oh very nice collection. For me I would never wanna use it.
Unique…
you shld just keep the set. Or perhaps use them only in very special occasion, like chinese new year dinner, when your kids are old enough to handle these precious porcelein.
Very pretty indeed. Since you like them too, why not keep them? You can continue to admire them in display in your home and perhaps only to use them on special occassions? If you “mm seh tak”, just keep them for QQ
Good thing you decided to keep the set! It’s really very pretty and I’m sure QQ will love it later
My Dad bought a punch set for my Mum to use during Christmas. It’s not very expensive but it’s very, very precious to me because of the good ole memories I have.
Am very happy you decided to keep for QQ.. Very precious item.. family heirloom.. dun sell lar…
The set is truly a masterpiece. Make a special case to display them in your house and see your guests go ooh and aah over them
