Cooking and cooking, then…..
While Kakak is still around, I took the opportunity to try lots of new dishes in the kitchen, those that requires a lot time spent to prepare, to pound, to stir, and to wash!!!
Recently I like cooking dishes like this ……

Vegetarian deep fried very yummy Siu-Ngor (well, I bought it drozen and had Kakak deep-fried the sheets)

Braised Yee Mee with lots of Ju-Ya-Char (Lards!) - of course it is good when there is someone to prepare the lard, hehe..
and…
then learned to make this……

Very smooth homemade Kaya (where Kakak stood there for more than one hour to stir on slow fire, method here )
and then this one…..

Lemongrass Ginger Milk Chicken (recipe here, please try if you like ginger dish because it’s REALLY GOOD!)
So, while I was at my wet kitchen cooking the ginger chicken dish yesterday, I almost *jumped out of my skin*, had a *hair-standing* moment, *SCREAMING* LIKE THE MADDEST WOMAN on earth….when I SAW this thing creeping really quick into my dry kitchen……

SUPER HUGE GIGANTIC CENTIPEDE!!!!
GOSH!! I have never seen anything SO BIG in my life and it’s almost the size of my SUPER sized OUTDOOR SLIPPER!!
Thank GOD Kakak acted quick and smashed it into TWO with that heavy slipper….It’s blood/fluid/juice….eeewww.… or whatever you called it, splattered everywhere on the floor… Even after it was broken into 2, it was still moving as if it was still alive!
I was so scared that it will come back to life like those in movie (as if it will, I don’t know…), I asked Kakak to smash it many many times again, until it no longer moves, both head and tail.
Still so scared that if it’s babies/spouse will come revenge or look for this GIANT, I summoned Kakak to wrap them up into a bag, and quickly toss it out of my house, into the huge rubbish bin…**phiew**
It must have crawled out from the hole from my wet bathroom. Thank GOD I saw it before it crawl under my refrigerator! I just cannot imagine if it has crawl to the living hall, and hide under my sofa and bite us :” ( **sweat**

Eyewwwww…..that’s posionous! They say once bitten, 100 steps you will die. That means you must get medical attention within 100 seconds.
Now that Kak is gone, you will have to resort to simple and quick recipes like mine. Hassle-free. LOL!!!
Your double-boiled kaya looks so smooth and good! Hope to try it one day cos Chloe and her daddy love kaya!
I love siew gor too……Stirring the kaya are no fun. I tried that before, helping my mum. haha…. so tired but nice to eat.

That was a looooong one, gosh!! Is your maid going back soon?
