I had the best birthday weekend!

Yesterday was quite an eventful day for me.

In the morning hubby attended DIZIGUI class with QQ while I brought the kids to Sg.Long Buddhist Society for Birthday Dana.  So happen that many of the Dhamma teachers (hmm…the volunteer parents of the children call themselves facilitators and not teachers) were born in July, what a great coincident…..!!!

QQ at Iris’s 7th Birthday Party

Then in the late afternoon, QQ attended her best friend’s birthday party. I brought Korkor along while Didi was left alone with Kakak at home as he fell asleep, poor boy!

Korkor being the youngest kid there was so excited that he could even joined in every game organized yesterday. Initially he was afraid of the A&W Bear but after a while, he was fine. Good exposure for him in case he is afraid of Mickey Mouse when we go to Disneyland later, hehe….

A small American Choc cake for myself, finally

A birthday without cake ain’t a birthday, I felt. After having 2 cakes from other celebrations, I felt I should get one for myself too. Hence just before Jusco closed at night, we rushed out to get one small American Chocolate cake. Usually I am not a chocolate person, but some how I just need to get a bite on some buttery cake.

A 32cm hard adonized wok from Meyer, its only @ Rm199 instead of Rm399!

Oh yes, and besides so many great celebrations, I finally got myself a nice hard anodized aluminium Meyer Chinese Wok too.

Because the maid is going on leave next month, I checked on all my pots and pans, and sadly all the non-stick Teflon pans and pots has become so dull. In fact, foods are already sticking onto it and we were still using them occasionally!

Unfortunately I only realized the danger of using it when I saw comments on FB. Even the black steel pot from my mum gave me 10 years back also flakes off!  Wonder how the maid handles them, sigh….. :” (

Have been eyeing on nice stainless steel cookware but they are so freaking expensive!!!! So at least this one is so much cheaper and lighter. Hope it could last at least for a while.

A 5L Magic Cooker from Cosway @ Rm199

Mum has been using a very good quality magic cooker from Buffalo for the past 10 years so hubby suggested I should get one. Since the maid is going back next month, I quickly got myself 5L Magic Cooker from Cosway at only Rm199. It comes with 2 tier so I can use one tier for soup and the upper tier to braise meat or another dish.

Next month is gonna be the month I am looking forward to. Not sure if I’ll be able to stay sane when there is no one to help out (i’ll probably go offline for a month then), I am equally excited to find out also if we can make do without a lived in helper.

God bless me!
