Finally a decent prescription swimming goggle for QQ
When hubby refuse to get the Rm600 custom made swimming goggle from Japan, we sought for another solution. Her optometrist suggested that a pair of google can also be done with her presciption lens attached, this is how it looks like!
Power lens being “stick” to a normal pair of goggle for more than Rm300! Sadly it was a bad decision because
- The silicone fails to stick on the lens
- Water got in between the lens and goggle until vision is blurred!
We then had to spend a lot time searching online and finally found this online, the Hilco (Z Leader) Children’s Prescription Swimming. Seriously I cannot understand why goggle for long sighted is so hard to find even though long sighted is so common in kids now!
Therefore we had to spend another USD$45.90 ($30.95 goggle + $14.95 shipping) to get her another pair of EYES in water

Although the water was so cold yesterday evening, she kept on practicing in the water while her friends were all laughing away playing in and out of the water.
- She can breathe in (with her mouth) and out (from her nostril) smoothly in water now - can you name this step for me?
- She can hold her breathe in water for 3 kicks like a frog (err….what is this stroke called ah?) with a board in her hand
Currently she is learning how to stand up from the bottom of the pool, which she is still struggling because she kept on tilting up her head before she could stand due to fear.
Overall her instructor praised her for being extremely obedient as she kept on practicing throughout the 1 hour lesson without stopping while her friends were playing away in and out of the water all the time.
We are so proud of our little timid QQ now 
Good to hear that!! Hope she can master the full skill in no time! and by the way, the shipping fee from US is so low leh. Usually the shipping is higher than the item itself. So lucky eh.
We jet call the breathing part s breathing when swimming! Not sure if there is any common name for it or not! Gt chance I ask my x-boss n c! Hehe.. N the frog style we call it breaststroke..
So the rm300 pink goggles is not useable? Good to see her progressing well in her swimming lessons. Makes you feel that spending on the goggles is all worth it, right?

Oh you manage to found her a prefect one but in cheap price. Good job Chinnee, QQ is so lucky. Saw you posted her swimming photo in FB I thought you really bought a RM600/pair one for her keke.
I think it is worth spend the money (since it is not that expensive) as it is important to take care of their eye sight at their age now right? And good to hear that she is progressing well in her swimming lesson. I’m waiting for my boy to grow older before enrolling both kids (and myself too) in the swimming lesson.

And I’m still procrastinating in looking for a swimming class for Yiu Yiu
