Overly crowded Melaka

Going back Melaka now no longer like those days. The whole town is super crowded even though on a normal weekend, what’s more a longer weekend with a public holiday. And then we encounter a horrible jam on the North-South Highway upon exit from Melaka, thank goodness we managed to exit at Senawang after 2 hours crawl from Melaka, using Lekas highway directly home. I guess it was the same for everyone who travel during that week throughout the whole Malaysia, from North or South, East or West.

After sending the sleeping boys at home with mum and maid from Zoo, we sneaked out again to Jonker Street. Hubby said wanna eat Ice Kacang from Jonker 88. I just wanna take a stroll since I have not been there on Saturday evening where all the stalls are our ever since Jonker Walk road was closed up on Saturday evening only.

Look at the crowd, scary hor…..I wanted to catch a picture of hubby who was lining up for his ice-kacang, but he was drowned by the crowd within seconds!

So while waiting, I bought a stick of potato chips which I thought looks pretty cute for QQ. It cost Rm3 just for a few chips with many flavour toppings to choose from. With that kind of price and crowd all time in Melaka, I think I can make a lot more selling chips at Jonker Street than running Mama Patch man!

Cute little “char-kiak” everywhere in Jonker Street. Hmm…perhaps I should start sourcing this special handmade from Melaka and start selling them at Mama Patch? Wonder if people still want to wear this nowadays???

  5. We nearly went to Melaka on the same weekend but had to change our mind after thinking about the jam on the highway and the crowd everywhere. It’s a very nice place to visit though, and we must go there at least once a year :)

  6. My kid did go there on Sunday but feel upset could not get 1 for her younger sis.
