Easter Day Craft at Play

Each week, we are waiting for Tuesday because it is kids’ Play Day and Mummy’s meeting up with friends. Last week we did some nice craft for Easter Day and this is what we got…

Easter Egg Holder

Easter Egg holder that comes in varies design (duck, bunny, decorative egg). I do not know how these items are associated with Easter, as I just read about that Easter Day is the Day Jesus rising from death (new life after death for the Christian). Anyhow it they are really cute craft for the kids and I bet anyone would love to receive this in their gift baskets :)

Pouring water from Jar into cups

Water play is the favourite of all kids, agree? My boys love making drinks for Mummy, pouring water into cups. I got to help them to pour it back to the covered jar each time after they are done. There is a nice tray to play the cups and water jar,  to catch the water and a small cloth to wipe off the mess. Nice play, except that they also come back and start filling their water container, pouring from one to another, causing mess everywhere in the living hall at their small table :(

Boys with flower arrangement

I love this picture especially the look of Didi (on the left) holding a stem of flower in his little hand. Yes, they can pluck up the flower, and then rearrange them by poking them into the pot (filled with some clay) according to height of each stem, or different shade, depending on their creativity.

Creating patterns with colored rubber bands

QQ does not miss out our weekly play either. Most play items would be too easier for her, so she go for more challenging ones like the above.  Seriously, I sometimes wonder if I should let her join us here, or put her to somewhere else instead. You know, like tuition or things like that.

Whatever it is, I just let them play, while myself was busy chatting with other Mums over there, hehe….

P/s: Oh yes, this playgroup is tentatively closed as they had enough participants already. So paiseh… when I asked some friends to just walk into this playgroup, not knowing that registration and queue is required prior to attending…

  1. They learn a lot at playground. Don’t worry, just keep monitoring QQ, if she feel bored she might dislike to attend it. Sure you could sense it.

  7. Great idea for children. You could also look up Montessori websites for practical life exercises like watering plants, leaf washing, dry pouring etc which could be good for the children too. PM me if you need some other ideas.

  8. Creating patterns with colored elastic bands is an excellent activity for children.
