Attending Playgroups
My kids are really fortunate, having a mother who stays at home with them all day long. Although they hear a lot of nagging and complaints all day long, they are fortunate enough to have lots of fun activities and interactions even before they go to school.

PJ Playcenter
For QQ, I have been taking her to playgroup since she was two. Car pool with Mee Yuen (a mum who stays in my area), we drove all the way to PJ Playcentre every Tuesday early morning for a play session. If you are staying in PJ and you are interested to find out where we went to, check out all my postings here (although I am not sure if this place still exist as we went there 5 years back!)

Sg. Long Playgroup (from 2007-2008)
We are so lucky that I even managed to initiate a very fantastic playgroup when the Buddhist Society at our place offer me a venue on every Saturday morning. Attended by about 15 kids with participation of a group of mothers who stay nearby in this vicinity, we managed to rotate responsibility and squeeze our brain juice to come up with weekly craft preparation, story telling and also crazy outing and play in our area. Check out the postings I have wrote for this playgroup. However this playgroup was then dispersed shortly after a few of us had new babies.

Children’s Corner
Although I can always go back to gather mums staying nearby to start up a playgroup again, but with the boys, I really got no energy to manage more anything else. But just before the boys turn 2, we were invited by Shiryne, a mum attend a playgroup runs by a Christian Group in this vicinity. I jumped at the opportunity because in this playgroup, the mothers do not have to prepare anything except participating in play!
Not only the boys benefits a lot from their weekly play, I get to meet a lot of new friends too who are staying in the same area too. Will go into detail in subsequent posting. However most of the playgroup like this only runs during weekday morning, so it will only suits the SAHM who can bring their children over on weekday.

Very nice playground for the boys. Playing while learning is fun.
cool, waiting for your 2nd posting
my turn to envy: become a fultime mum. hehe…

Indeed your kids are very lucky. Attending playgroup at such young age can motivate them and shape their creativity. Got to meet lots of friends too!
