Pre-CNY get-together
I better start jotting down everything now otherwise I’ll have too much to write later on.

Restaurant Sek Lok Fook (well hidden inside Section 7, Sg.Long)
Since my family in Melaka cannot celebrate CNY or do any visiting this year, I planned to go back to Melaka earlier, upon school holiday starts. Hence we went for a small family dinner at our kids favourite restaurant, Sek Look Fok, Sg.Long before leaving home back to hometown. My boys named this place “Lang Sai” (Lion Dance in Hokkien) because a LION HEAD was hung in front of the restaurant (only during CNY).

Signature dish: Tung Poh Yuk with little Man-tao
This restaurant is well hidden inside a narrow housing area in Section 7, Sg.Long, next to a ugly fishing pond. Some other famous dish are their talapia petai sambal fish (dono what it is called) and Deep Fried Pork Trotter in Black Pepper Sauce.

Weird Korkor insisted eating with hand and licking his plate clean…..*eeeewwww*..
Although dishes here are rather famous, still not many people from our place knows about this restaurant. No one would ever imagine there is such a nice restaurant situated inside a narrow housing area like that. And yet the tables are almost always occupied!

Coconut Pudding Dessert @ Restaurant Pei Zing, Melaka
Upon reaching Melaka on Sunday night, we dined out again with my parents. This time, we decided to go back to an old restaurant, Pei Zing, where our wedding dinner was held. It was my first time trying this common dessert in Melaka, and I must say it is very nice. All my kids love it!

Since CNY was still many days away, there was only a few of us while my another brother was still working and sis not back yet from Vietnam.

Late Grandpa passed away so this year left only with Grandma. Luckily she has got 3 grandsons staying under one roof. Good to have my 3 little cousins keeping her busy all time!

And then we also went to visit my maternal Grandma who has no longer any of us, nor my mum, due to her Alzheimer’s disease. But she is still a very healthy woman who always insist on doing her own laundry and cleaning her own room until everyone is still so worry about her falling down anytime due to her weak knee. Am glad she is still here this CNY because I missed her birthday party last CNY.
We left Melaka after passing out all ang pows, and spending 3 nights in Melaka. Hope there are many years to come for both my Grandmas. Long life, Por-Por and Ah Mah !!
