Pre-CNY: First time seeing such a bad flood
Thanks everyone for your sharing, for your kind words and thoughts on my previous posting. At least I know I am not alone in this madness, although I have 2x of what that rare species who you might have too at home.
Didi is behaving much better these few days, so I have less headache with only one Korkor. Continue with our drama during CNY…
After spending 3 nights in Melaka, we start off our journey back to Kuantan very early on CNY eve. After packing everything plus 3 sleeping kids into the car, we drove off leaving Melaka at 6.45am. And because it is nearer to go to Kuantan with te east coastal road, we drove down to Segamat.

Unfortunately when we almost reaching Segamat, we were quite dismay to see the road was cut off with a very bad flood!
What a late discovery and with 2 hours of driving with poor Didi was so hot that we had to keep on sponging him all the way. We should have called the Police Station to check the accessibility prior a day, heck!
Now there is no other way to Kuantan from Johor except Karak Highway. So we decided to drive back home first, and take a short rest before continue our journey back to Kuantan. At least I do not have to cook for the reunion dinner as all my SILs will be doing that, *phiew* ………

You are definitely not alone… my boy is also really tough to deal with. Absurd demands? yeah, everyday… if he insist he wants to do something, I’ll just give in as long as it’s not dangerous. I reason with myself that its his way of learning… messy floors? just have to do extra cleaning.. do try to get some time out for yourself.. hang in there ok… *hugs*
Oh poor didi, fever during the eve. Ya quite a hectic to travel such long journey with 3 kids, furthermore your boy sick too. Actually it quite a turn back home since flood, so didi can take a rest at home b4 continue the journey.
Luckily you can still make a u turn and not stucked in between.
Luckily you did not call the police to check on the status as they did not give update information. My cousin called and was told the road were cleared. But they were shocked to see the road was cut off and they had to find their own way to go back home during the CNY!!!! They spend another 3 hours on the road!!!
