Horrible Twos

I am walking on the most horrible moment of upbringing the twins at this moment. Don’t know what’s wrong with the boys recently, they cry and wail all day long, one after another and nothing can stop them at all, not even hugging them works.

Didi knocking himself on the floor while wailing

This is what happen some of the time, when they both quarrel. Korkor has turned into a big bully recently and he enjoy scolding Didi. Didi on the other hand, became a super cry baby and will just sprawl immediately flat on the floor to give out a big cry for HOURS! That picture above happened when he knocked himself on the floor too hard while crying. Luckily he only hurt his lips and not his forehead or otherwise I would have to apply my hot cream that I use to remove acne scars on the cut.

Korkor cries unreasonably for hours too, torturing me, pulling me here and there, and will scream on top of his lung when we fail to meet his crazy demand (like going to Jusco in the middle of the night / wanna eat that fish that left only with bones and such!)

They are really driving me crazy and I seriously don’t know what to do with them anymore.  I posted on FB and some recommended punishment like stand corner or lock them inside the room until they settle down. Am still trying to see if it works, sigh…

  1. It must be really crazy at home for you with two going through the terrible twos!

Whatever method you wanna try out, please don’t lock them up in a room. It’s very, very traumatic and you don’t know what harm they can do to themselves or each other.

You have a maid, right? Why don’t you split them up? Or take them out somewhere they can release their energy?

I can go crazy with the 2 monkeys at home in the afternoons too. Instead of going nuts with them, I push them out to the playground and let them climb, crawl and do whatever.

Sometimes, I also take them to the shops to buy bread or some small stuff, you know? They do get crazy locked in a house all the time.

30 minutes later, they go home and will settle down quietly to watch TV or play toys. Hope this helps :)

  2. *hugz*

i can imagine the madness… i probably will melt down too. but, guess we, women, very good in adaptation and mamahood. I can see you have come out with a solution, all the best! and i’m sure 1 day the kids will appreciate you.

try to read the book “Supernanny” there are some tricks on such situations…
