Had a quiet Christmas

I thought it would be fun, to go back to Melaka to see the lights at Portugis Settlement, during Christmas. I still remember last year, hubby and I sneak out and walk over to the seaside for a late night seafood snack after the kids fell asleep. The only place and time both of us could sneak out, knowing that kids will be safe with my parents around.

And this year we thought of doing the same too……..

Water fountain for kids at Splash Park, The Mines Shopping Center

But don’t know what’s with our girl, she decided last minute that we should stay here and not travel! She kept on saying NO although we asked her many many times on Christmas Eve. Well, I always things happen for a reason, and we stayed at home. It was suppose to be a joyous occasion, but because we do not have any plan, I feel very bored and lonely.

To “feel” Christmas, I thought of dinning the western way for dinner during Christmas Eve. Unfortunately my favourite restaurant was closed and we went for Chinese Steamboat instead! What an incomplete feeling although we do not celebrate Christmas…

Mr Bean’s Christmas Performance at The Mines Shopping Mall

Lazy to travel far out on Christmas Day, we brought the kids to The Mines Shopping Mall to see Mr Bean’s Performance. Quite a good one, and not too crowded there.

In fact, this mall has improved so much. They even have a roof top Splash Water Park now for the kids to play and entrance is FOC (see pictures above). Not bad eh?

Am surely looking forward to go there again another time….

Hey, having Western dinner for Xmas eve is not a good idea leh. Most the Western restaurants will only have the expensive set dinner that night.

  12. Mr Bean = our favourite cartoon.

Love the splash park….hope to bring the kids there one of the Sunday.
