Restaurant Fu Gua Tong
Stumble upon this restaurant while we were at Bandar Puteri, Puchong few weeks back. Although hubby lives in Puchong 5 days a week, he is really lousy at recommending good eateries at Puchong. We only know a few good ones like the Yong Tau Foo at the kampung opposite a school, that’s all!
Hence we drove around in Bandar Puteri and decided to dine at Restaurant Fu Kua Thong since it is most crowded among all restaurant available at that few rows. Futhermore, bitter gords makes healthy soup and dishes especially when you need to naturally clean your colon or while taking the herbal colon cleanse.

Deep Fried Marinated Belly Pork (Rm4 for smallest serving) - Rate: 5/5
This dish taste best here. Very very fragrant and crispy on the outer side. But unfortunately it has a lot of 5-spiece-powder (remember I am still suffering from skin allergy on my fingers?) Well, when good food like this are placed in front, just eat first, and suffer on consequences later lar..

Sambal Potato Leaves (Rm6 for smallest serving)- Rate: 4/5
A bit over-rated right? First time we order, it was damn good because there were so much of crispy lard among the sambal on it and the leaves were so tender. When we went back again on the second time, the leaves used were older and not much lard on this dish. I would have rate this dish 5/5 if not for the different standard on my second visit.

Braised Pork with Yam (Rm8 for smallest serving)-Rate 4/5
The taste is very thick and strong. The braised belly pork is very tender too. The kids love their rice with its’ sauce.
We also order their signature bitter gord soup, but taste so-so la. Not really good as it tasted like a lot of MSG and pepper in there. But serving is huge (Rm7 for smallest serving and it is enough for all of us)
Overall, taste is quite good and the attractive part, all their dishes are very reasonable priced. Oh yes, they served extremely quick (if not mistaken, each time we order, we get food in less than 5 mins!)

There are lots of restaurants in Puchong if you know where to go. Taste Good near Fu Gua is also good (there are 3 Taste Good, go to the one opp. Public Bank). If you like crabs, Ma Bo (opp Tesco) is good. Ya, the yong tau fo opp the school is good too… there’s good pan mee around Puchong too.
