Rabbit Farm at Broga, Semenyih
Since our plan to the Sg.Klah Hot Spring was canceled, we might as well utilize our free time to bring the kids somewhere near. Thanks to Kah Hui’s suggestion, we went to the Rabbit Farm at Broga, Semenyih today. Not only it is super cheap, it’s good enough for little kids.
We started off by having some breakfast nearby, and reached Broga, Semenyih before 11am. Luckily the weather is good, so at least its not too hot for such outing. Entrance fee is Rm5/person and kids below 2 enter for free.

We first saw some monkeys tied with chain. We saw some girls playing and feeding with the monkeys too with those free food given to us for feeding rabbit. But they look naughty, so we dare not go near them. How come no picture of the little monkeys? Low battery mah, nothing much special to take. I need to save the battery for rest since we see many wild monkeys often in front of our house.
The ponies are running around wild and they are very friendly. If you are not afraid of them, you can pat them. The horse in the stable can be ride, with a fee of Rm5 only but QQ dare not ride on it.

Instead of the over eaten rabbits, these little lambs were overly friendly as they come chasing after us for food. QQ and Didi was so scared and they cling hard to us.

Only Korkor dare to touch them….

Korkor feeding the lambs with the rabbit food, hahaha…wonder if they will turn into a rabbit by eating those ah?

Most of the rabbits are so old and BIG. It is not easy to get near to them as they run super fast when we get near to them. Finally a little girl got hold of a BIG ONE!
Overall this is a good place for little kids to go, as it is not too big or exhausted to walk around for them. Just enough animals for them to see (there are also beautiful reindeers, tortise and some other animals at the other end which hubby did not wanna go over as there are droppings all over the place)

Besides some rabbits running loose around in a compound, there are many cages of where they keep rabbits too. Not only the rabbits are for play, there is a canteen that sell everything that cooks with rabbit meat. They offer dishes like Satay Rabbit and Dried Rabbit Meat (Rabbit Bak Kua!).
I was wondering if all the rabbits there are being reared for their meat? I cannot imagine how the rabbits are being slaughtered. Is it also throat cutting, blood draining and then throw into the hot scaling water too, like how chicken is slaughtered?
So sorry that such a nice post with have such an ending here. I simply just don’t have the heart to taste such beautiful and sweet creatives like the pictures above after patting them there
Can you?
