Almost schooless!
Despite not getting the school letter confirmation, no result of any school acceptance shown online, Jane and I went to school to queue very early in the morning (another friend Audrey could not make it as she had to fetch his sons to school first).
Reason of register together is because:
- we want to put our children in the same class, so that my friend, Audrey will have an easy job fetching all our kids together when they dismiss from class together.
- the kids can sometimes help each other bringing back homework, in case any of them absent school.
At 6.45am, the school is already crowded as many parents were sending their kids to school. After taking our queue No. 40, 41, 42 (so kind of the teacher giving us another extra number for Audrey), we walk to yumcha at the market nearby since registration only starts at 8.30am.
When our number was called out at 9 something, Jane and I were so HORRIFIED to be told that our kids still in KIV status as our children (among 100 children) they have not been accepted in this school. Instead we were asked to go home to wait until we got the letter of acceptance once all registration is settled. WHATTT???????AFTER ALL THE CRAZY QUEUE A YEAR AGO WHERE HUBBY TOOK LEAVE AND BEING EARLY BIRDS AGAIN THIS MORNING, WE CAN”T CONFIRM OUR KIDS ?????? @#$%#^
But we knew, by then, it will be too late already as this school will be full and they surely put us into another school which is less popular. I don’t really care if QQ goes to a less popular school (less pressure would be good if less student) , but problem is, I will have no one to car pool/transport QQ as all my neighbours’ children goes to this school.
Luckily the Pejabat Pelajaran Daerah Hulu Langat was situated not very far so we quickly drove there and made a complain on our fate. To cut the story short on how Jabatan put blame on school and school put blame on the new 0nline system, we managed to speak to the Penyelia Kanan and he was kind to call the school immediately to settle this for us.
When we went back to the school again, we saw a great change. The PIC were very nice to us and immediately accepted us on spot. They even entertained our silly request by opening the particular closed file (CLASS 1B) which we wanted so that our kids can be in the same class as Audrey’s boy (who will be fetching our kids). In fact, the moment stepping out from school, we even received another call from the school’s Kerani, to check if we have come back for registration.
Persistence finally pays off. Really can’t believe our luck! I hope they also called those “early-bird” parents who were turned down and left earlier to come back for confirmation before the placement at the school runs out.
P/S: *hint…hint* If you believe that you had registered your child early in queue a year ago and yet has turned down by the school of your choice, now you know what do to ya…

wah….so ‘kang cheong’ moment you all had! YOu guys must be so good in complaining until the penyelia kanan managed to get the school to confirm the registration. hahaha….
Next year my turn ;( I’m already so excited. Hope to get that school because we can fetch our son to school before going to work. Else, if out of the way, very troublesome.
Glad you fight for qiqi for the place in the school. I got the letter but still haven’t go confirm yet. Prolly do it this week.
wah.. hopefully u get the school of your choice, soon..
So happy for you! Either you’re really lucky or you’re really good in making an effective complaint! Either way, you’ve got what you wanted
