4life Transfer Factor

Avis approached me many months back, when she read about my frequent rants on facebook on my boys who got sick so frequently early this year. Like many parents out there with multiple kids at home, I freak out each time one of my children gets sick, because not only I will have one cranky baby to nurse, but TWO (same age one some more!). And the worst part is when the virus pass from one to another and then, PASS BACK TO THE FIRST ONE and the cycle continuous……….

I was indeed very hesitate in the beginning to try this product because both hubby and I dislike taking supplement ourselves, what’s more giving them to our kids. Out of desperation (and also Avis’s persistant, *ahem*), I gave in. Won’t die trying one bottle anyway, although I must admit that I am EXTREMELY SHOCK when Avis told me to price (almost Rm180 per bottle for 90 tablets, can u believe it???!!!!)

I din even bother to research and find out more before purchaseĀ  what’s in there that make it so expensive, but I told hubby, since it is so expensive, it probably won’t be harmful, *grin*. Although hubby wasn’t very happy, but since I have bought and paid for it, he just close one eye (mou ngan tai).

This is the bottle I bought .

Obvious Effect on my boys

I started giving the boys, one tablet each day but sometimes skip a few days in between (when I forgot about it!). There was a couple incidents where the boys got high fever >39 degree C. Not wanting to take risk and wait for them to be overheated, I still feed them paracetamol syrup. But amazingly they heal completely the next day without prolonged common sickness like running nose or cough (which seems quite unusual for sick kids, especially if their immune system is low).

Seriously I am not sure if it has got to do with the Transfer Factor (cow colustrum and egg yolk extract) tablets, but I can be very assure that this miracle only started ever since I started them on the tablets (remember, that’s not even daily, coz ITS TOO PRICEY!!!)

Although its a MLM product, I can just say as long as it helps, I wouldn’t mind trying it out (I do believe in some MLM products, as I was in Lampe Berger before and I could not live without it now). But always remember, a product might be good and working for someone, it sometimes could not help another, as each and our body is different (so sad that herbalife is working for so many, but it isn’t working for me, although I have been trying for 2 months :( )

It’s almost time to replenish and get our 2nd bottle, but hubby got even more cautious after seeing the tremendous effect on the kids. Too abnormal and scary result, he said. Sigh….

So, if you are a mom who is constantly worrying about your kids getting sick (with them passing the germs to one another at home, never ending craziness of weeks after weeks ), you might wanna give this a try ! Chin nee does not GUARANTEE ya….

  1. One kind blog reader of mine gave me a bottle of 4LTF colustrum to Baby C when she read that Baby had been getting frequent UTI attack. I just tried it for a month. Actually I wanted to continue but like you said, it’s freaking expensive!!

  2. hehe thanks HFM for ur friend, Mimee. I also took this and Philip do not fall ill . CN, i normally open up n put inside Philip’s milk. When desperate time, I give like 4 tablets. Normal days 1 tablets. I guess I will blog about why I used Transfer Factor. and how I got the contact from shireen.

  3. works out to be only RM2 for one pill so I don’t feel it is not expensive at all. If proven effective, it is really worth it compared to constant poor health requiring few doc visits which will cost a bomb, inconvenience and immunity to antibiotics etc.
FYI, I have never used this product before, so my opinion is only from what you say and ‘price’ aspect. WHo knows if there are long term side effects like there is for steroids which is also effective for short term use.

  4. well…it is not that expensive compared to the medical bills that you have to pay when they get really sick. i’m taking USANA supplements…another expensive MLM products but it works! :)

  5. wow.. this supplement is very expensive wo..but if it helps to boost their immune system, then mah have to continue giving them lo…

  6. Hi all, just to add to Chin Nee’s blog..
    1. Transfer factor (Tf) is the only thing that has no toxicity level even at 200x the recommended dose of 600mg a day. This is because it is not a herb, mineral or supplement but a protein molecule that transfers immunity information from mummies to babies. That is what we are transferring to our newborns when we breastfeed. That is how God intended for chicks and calves to get their immunity, through transfer factor which is found in egg yolk and colostrum.
    2. So, that’s why it is so effective, because your immune system is your body’s information system and when it lacks info on new virus that attacks, you fall ill. By taking tf, you are giving your body the immunity information that the cows and hens have already developed (since they are eating from the ground and exposed to all these harmful virus/invaders)
    3. The reason there is no prolonged sickness like fever developing into flu then cough and sore throat is simple. When you get a fever, it means your body’s immune system has started an attack against a virus invasion. But most of the time, it does not recognise the invader as they are new and takes a long time to develop the correct weapon/anti-virus. So you suffer with bodyaches, cough/flu etc…but with tf, your system gets fast antivirus updates (like your pc) and is able to reconise the virus and kill them off fast before they have time to multiply.Hence the recovery in 1 day!
Do share the science and logic behind tf to your hubby…the speedy recovery is not abnormal. It is just immune system food made by a strong immune system for any immune system that needs a boost.
    4. Last time, I felt it was expensive too but after fast recovery, no doctors’ visits, healthy kids, no down time, no loss of sleep plus peace of mind that I don’t have to give medicine/steriods etc, I find it worth it. It is cheaper than buying kampung chicken and herbs, boiling for 3 hours, but kids don’t want to drink and still sick…so tiring..
    5. Even though Chin Nee don’t dare to guarantee the effectiveness of tf, I can give the guarantee…:) My family and I have taken tf for 3 years and it has worked 99% of the time for any virus/bacteria. No fear of H1N1, HIV, SARS etc etc

  7. More info on this drug: http://medicine.com.my/wp/?p=836

Well, just go for normal multi-vit for children, it works the same and less expensive.

I am very skeptical about MLM drug products because they don’t do much R&D but try to make a lot of unproven claims. It is also not a FDA approved product. Just my 2 sens.

  8. Never heard of this product. But I do give Multi-vit and Vit C to my kids almost everyday (some of the morning if we are in a rush we may have forgotten) and with taking fresh milk (instead of formula) I found the kids recover faster.

  9. Diff ppl react differently …regardless as long as the kids are happy— parents also happy…

as for me… i keep min supplement for the kids but loads them with lots of fruits n vegetables…

  10. I like Michelle’s comment, which always points to fact. :P

Anyway, if there’s no harm done, then just continue until you finish the bottle.. but when buying 2nd bottle, reconsider lor.. maybe a good multivits may help.

  11. Michelle, the website you gave is just a blog and it is just a few people giving their own opinions. For some studies written by doctors/scientists, pls go to http://itfs.med.unibo.it/ and http://itfs.med.unibo.it/10itfsabs.html

Transfer factor does not need FDA’s (Federal Drug Authority) approval because it is not a drug. Unlike other MLM companies, 4Life Research has spent millions of dollars on R&D. The company has a whole team of doctors, oncologists etc on its board. Check out also http://www.askdrtownsend.com/prevention2.html

No MLM companies market drugs as drugs can only be prescribed by doctors and pharmacists. MLM companies only markets vitamins, health products, skin care etc that can be marketed by any man on the street. Good products are normally marketed through the MLM way because research has found that word of mouth is more effective than tv/ newspaper advertisements.

    Be blessed, Avis

  12. Avis: When the company claims that this drug or medicine or what ever you call it cure disease, it does need FDA approval. Sorry I get load error from the 2 website you gave.

I read that 4Life made bold statements on its website that it cure certain diseases and FDA wrote to 4Life to remove those claims as it has no scientific data to support it. You can search in Google for the FDA letter to 4Life.

If this is only to boost immunity system, then any multi vit will do the same job.

Anyway if this “thing” is so miraculous, why is it sold only in MLM and not sold in retail? I strongly believe that MLM only feeds the rich at the top and bottom line work hard to feed the rich. Sorry to be blunt!

  13. Avis Tan: Btw some of those commenter of that blog are actual doctor by profession.
