Travelling with the boys

Last Saturday, hub’s office was having their annual Family Day at Genting Highland where each adult still got to pay Rm20 each and kids Rm10, which includes all-park day ticket plus buffet lunch at Coffee Terrace. Although it is a lot cheaper than normal price, still funny that it is not free for the staffs???
We went up on Friday evening so that the kids get to play in the early morning on Saturday without having to wait for check-in. Since accommodation is not provided, we used our Genting Share-Holder Voucher (Rm50 for Friday night stay) and Rm90 (Saturday night stay) at First World Hotel.

As we reached there late already on Friday, we decided just to walk around and play at the game center instead of buying the tickets for the rides. Not worth purchasing the one day ticket, just to play for a few hours anyway.

All of us woke up very early on Saturday morning and set out to the Outdoor Theme Park. Boy, it was very very HOT and SUNNY. I don’t know if you feel the same, but we feel that Genting no longer feels cold like it used to be years back when we were young (where we need thick sweaters), even at night! Genting is getting more stuffy nowadays especially when we are at indoor (probably less trees and more buildings on the hill now).
Funny thing is, there are still many people out there who wore winter clothing, wrapping their kids body with super thick clothing, wrapping up their head with fury hats, scarf here and there. I wonder if they really get to “breathe!”

Although the boys are almost 2 (their real birthday is tomorrow!) and have achieved the minimum heights for kiddies ride of 76cm (yeah…they are now about 80cm), they were still afraid to go on the rides all by themselves. See the crying Korkor who had to be carried out by the attendant while the car was still going round. We thought he overcome his fear after enjoying the bumper car ride with his sister later that evening so we put him up alone on the Ride de Paris (Didi refuse to go and QQ is too tall). Poor Korkor, after going 2 rounds, he S.C.R.E.A.M.E.D like hell inside the car, calling out Mummy for rescue, pulling his safety belt away wanting to escape out while hubby and I watched our boy in horror until the ride came to a stop!!! Luckily he was buckled up tightly in there, …..*phiew*…..

We later had lunch at Genting Hotel. It was so difficult to get a table as the whole cafe was super pack with hub’s company’s people (he mentioned there were about 900 people from his company inclusive of families).
At least Korkor was eating well (he took some porridge, the rice followed up bread dip in creamy soup) and he could just eat whatever we put on his plate.

As for Didi, feeding was horror. All he would take was some mix beans, tomatoes and watermelon. We were so worried about this vegetarian for the past 3 days as he refused to eat his meal properly. See how mentally stressful it was for parents with kids like this during vacation.
We feel so tired when we reached home yesterday at noon. Good that the boys slept well early last night until now (10am). Since their birthday is tomorrow, we shall have another simple birthday celebration for the boys at their playgroup tomorrow.

Yea feeding horror. Really unpredictable and dread this…

Yeah I think weather is rather weird to the whole world indeed! Anyway, everyone still get fun in this family vacation rite minus a little bit here & there… Happy Birthday to the boys

Yes it’s really stressful if our kids not eating their meal properly but it’s very command during holiday. It’s still acceptable didi replace the carbohydrate & fat with banana, cake, pizza & etc.
I also tried using First World vouchers to book few days ago, but it said couldnt be used online.. i ended up booking at the normal rate.. sigh.. so much more expensive..
