After filling our stomach at Bukit Tambun, we went into Penang (also QQ’s first experience crossing the Penang bridge). We stopped by USM for a while, waiting for my brother to collect something from his ex-lecturer. QQ was so anxious about checking into the hotel, and finally at 5pm, we reached her long waited destination, The Gurney Hotel.

Waiting to check in at the lobby

Rm190 per night with breakfast for 2 included (Citibank Credit Card Promotion), our one bedroom suite is quite huge. We have got a sea facing room and it is really beautiful. My boys love watching the ships passed by and kept on saying “Row-row a boat”, hahaha… (boat where got row some more these days right?)

Without wasting more time, we all quickly changed into our swimming gear and went for water play (the greatest attraction and that was the reason why we choose this old hotel that makes my skin itch upon touching on the bedsheet
After comparing a few hotels, I think Gurney Hotel has the best water play with lots of raining mushroom and 2 big water slides. But the water is rather deep and soooo cold because it is situated at the 7th floor. *Brrrrr* we only let the boys into water for a while and they were shivering like mad already.

Another beautiful adult pool looking over to the sea at Gurney

Man made beach at the pool area. Can you see the gym at the far end?

Boys were pulled out of water after a while since the water is too cold. Luckily they did not cry while watching kids playing in the water.

Besides Archery, there are also snooker table, kids room and show time. So much thing to do, and yet so little time we have. After playing for almost an hour, we went back to our room. Check out next posting on our food hunt on the first night.

We reached Seberang Perai at about 2.30pm. Since we did not managed to go into Ipoh on our way to Penang for lunch, we stop at Bukit Tambun for seafood so that we do not have to drive out to Prai again for dinner.
Initially we wanted to visit the recommended restaurant, Ghee Seng, but unfortunately they only open at 3pm. Not wanting to wait for another 15 minutes, we went next door to Restaurant Jetty.

Below are the dishes we ate:

Stir Fried Stingray with Sauce (Rm16) - nice!

Bamboo Clam stir fried with ginger (Rm16)- but I thought Bamboo Clam should be rectangular???

Steam Tiger Fish (RM12) - sweet flesh but too bony

Fried Squids (Rm8) - nice and cheap but the sotong is soo tiny

Mantis Prawn with sauce (Rm12) - not very nice

Fried Soft Shell Crab (Rm25) -best among all. We even had 2 plates of this!

Total bill was Rm108 for 4 adults (including Kakak). Verdict: Overall food was so-so only although it is quite cheap. My brother said Ghee seng’s seafood taste better or it is either we ordered wrong way of cooking those dish. Had ordered too much fried stuffs until our tongue went numb.

What’s happening to the kids there
We also did not manage to order prawns and crabs as the kids are too difficult to manage (we have to eat really quick before the 2 boys get cranky.) Didi was already showering himself with the plate of grains I gave to him and then pee on his pants. Korkor on the other hand, was already crying wanted to be carried. Talk about eating seafood with little kids!

It started about a month or two ago. I discovered a lump with very bad pain at one of my armpit. It hurts so badly that I could not even wear my newly bought corset. But since cancerous lump is not suppose to be painful, so I thought it cannot be a dangerous lump. However, I am still worried as I have a aunt, who was diagnosed with breast cancer. Better see the doctor, right?
Hubby took leave and we had to run some errands today so I took the opportunity to go to my gynae for a pap smear and did a ultrasound on the breasts. Luckily no suspicious lump were found and since I am still breastfeeding, it could be due hormonal changes that cause lymph node swelling.
Well, I definitely not afraid of dying, but since I am a mother with 3 kids now, I hope to live longer, at least to see them grow up well, get married and built their own family. *Phiew*…..I feel so relieve!!!

I just can’t help complaining about my boys, ever since I got pregnant. They bring extreme discomfort to me during my pregnancy, as I carried them up to 38 weeks.
FuN of raising twins
Since birth, I have been struggling very much to feed them as they refuse formula. Besides feeding problem (they just could not sleep well and took turn to latch on my boobs one while last night until I feel so sore
)I find it extremely difficult to bring up 2 babies of same age. Both would always want Mummy at the same time, and now at almost 18 months, they are already constantly fighting for things, pushing away one another and worse till, hurting one another. Blood is a common sight at home, where either of them will fall or tripped over from don’t know where, or knocked directly on head, nose or mouth. It happens almost daily, and I tell you, I will surely die of heart attack if I have a weak heart.
Recently Didi has developed the habit of bitting, BITTING REAL HARD whenever Korkor gets in his way or when he wants to chase Korkor away from Mama. We knew he bites when his mouth comes near so we will normally avoid him coming near our skin. But with this poor innocent Korkor, he is always not cautious when his little brother comes near him.
We only knew he BITES when
- Korkor’s *SCREAM* in pain
- Followed by angry Mummy’s *SCREAM* at Didi
- Didi cry and *SCREAM* when being smacked hard by Mummy
So do not be surprise if you hear screaming, lots lots of screaming then moment you arrive at my door step.
Life is hectic when you have a child with double swirls on his head, but it is even more G.I.L.A. when you have to live with 2 of such species (wonder from who they inherited those naughty marks) !! (FYI, neither me or hubby has 2 swirls on our hair!)
Seems that the only proud moment we have is when the outsiders admiring the boys (especially during outings when they are being pushed around by their proud father in their twin strollers at in shopping malls - “their only time with their father”).

I got so excited when Photobook.com.my announced that they are having 40% off promotion. I have been wanting to make an album, but due to it’s high price, I decided to wait for the price to drop (hubby said more competitors will come up with better packages and things like that).
Since there is no hurry to print one, I only printed an album with Pixart and gave the book to QQ’s ex nanny when I decided to take her back 2 years back. See my Pixart book I made earlier. But a lot people I know commented that Pixard quality is not as good as Photobook. Well, to me at least pricing is affordable. Furthermore, it is just a souvenir.
For the past few weeks, I have been digging out all QQ’s pic from birth till now. This round, I sent in for a Large Square book for only Rm200+ (for 8 extra pages added plus Upgrade to matte lamination). You can compare with the original price here shown before discount . Very affordable right?
If time permits, I want to print some kids posters for my parents and my grandparents. It is only Rm28.80 (after 40% off) for 4 pcs of A3 posters! Oh yes, promotion has been extended to 30th November 2009 so there are 6 more days to go if you want to do one.
What I am also busy with a moment ago:

Twice in 3 pregnancies!!
Heavily pregnant with her long waited baby girl at 30 weeks, the baby stopped kicking 2 days ago. It must be a horrible feeling for the mother. Doctor confirmed the baby has passed away
We got married in the same year. Everyone was waiting for her to get pregnant when they heard about my pregnancy. Unfortunately pregnancy does not come easy for her. When she got pregnant a year later, doctor had to terminate the pregnancy at 5th month, when abnormality of kidney was found. Hence her first baby boy was induced and cremated. She did not look at the baby’s face.
Not long after that, her 2nd baby, a son, came by and he is already 3 this year.
When she got pregnant again this round, doctor was very careful. Due to the history of her first pregnancy, she was put to detail check, has the best doctor in one of our best private hospital in town to confirm that everything about her baby girl is alright. It is only in the 3rd trimester, it was found that the baby as if stop putting on weight. At 30 months, her baby girl only weights 1kg.
A c-sect will be performed this afternoon to bring out the stillborn. I just called her but I choked on my words. I don’t know what to say. I just wonder if I would dare to catch a glimpse on my baby if it is me. Would you, if you it is you…

Monkeys see, monkeys do. Same goes with my two little monkeys at home. They do whatever we do. They ask to be sitted in front of my laptop, hitting on my keyboard and move around my mouse. Whenever they see their sister writes, they ask for pens, asking for “buu-buu” (buka in Bahasa) so they can write too. We do not mind about the cheap promotional pens, but we are more worried about them poking each other when they start to snatch things and fight. Taking care of twins are really not easy.

Although our hotel has been booked next week at Gurney, I still cannot decide whether to stay at the beach or in town. If we are at the beach, the kids will be able to go and play at the sea. We even get to enjoy nice morning scenery like what they offer at the myrtle beach vacation rentals. But since it is almost raining daily, perhaps we do not even have a chance to go out to play. Furthermore, the purpose of this trip is to EAT!

It is really torturing when we mothers are running out of milk, and the baby (for my case, babies) are still sticking to me like crazy. I tried taking raw fenugreek, but guess what, the good effect of engorgement only lasted for 3 days. Later my body went back to it’s normal lazy self and does not produce much anymore.
My boys ended up sticking to me all time like superglue, keep on wanting to suckle. Recently even Korkor rejected all kinds of formula. Yes, they are having their 3rd and 4th molar coming out on top. Pretty quick for 16 months right?
Although it can be frustrating torturing my breasts breastfeeding my 16 month old boys, I do enjoy funny moments with them too. Each time they want to be nursed, they will even call me “duduk-duduk” at the low sofa, so both of them can stand in front of me reaching their “milking pipe”.
Not only that, my boys can also be very choosy sometimes. As if able to see how much milk it contains, they can even tell me “Mummy, no more!” with just a few suckles and want to switch to another side which is being dominated by another party.
See the fun of breastfeeding twins? I really cannot imagine what will happen and how they will react when I decide to wean them off one day. If only they can love the real cow more instead of ME!

It has been something some of us wanted to have many years back when we were earning USD doing paid posting. It was so troublesome to transfer back the money we earned whereby where we had to open only certain account with free Debit Card (Al-Rajhi and Public Bank are the 2 common ones). Not only that, we even have to loose out USD5 for every USD 500 we transfer back to our local credit/debit card.
Now, we finally have Paypal connecting to our local bank here. Not only transfer of money into our local bank within less than a week (I got mine into Maybank within 3 days), best of all, its TOTALLY FREE! (for transfer amount >RM400)
Wish to find out more, go log into your Paypal Account and see for yourself!

It is so difficult to work with my laptop these days. My almost 3 yr old Lenovo is now fully packed with QQ’s picture, from age 0-today, plus pictures of the boys. Although I already saved the pictures to a cd and also my external drive, part of me is still worry that what I saved up will not last long. Furthermore, it is so convenient to have all pictures inside so I can just view or use them anytime I want. Guess it is time for me to either check out the new With the advancement of digital picture, I think laptop computers or at least upgrade my laptop so it can run faster.

It happens again, and she thought no one was seeing her.
Hubby usually leaves home at 7am and I only wake up at 7.30am. This morning I woked up early and peeped her from my room window. Usually she would take out the rubbish from house to throw at that hour. Hubby is a very fussy person, and she is required to wash her hand outside the house after touching the bin before she comes into the house and touches anything else. So this morning (and also other morning, I suppose), she just casually comes in (without even bother to wash her hands), go straight to the washing machine and took out the clean clothes out to hang!
She was so shocked when I came down immediately from my room and confronted her. Tell me lies here and there, “ini tangan kena, ini tak kena” and all sorts of stupid lie until she herself also confuse. Sigh..she has been working with us almost 2 years and we are going to renew her this coming May.
Like how Mama Pumpkin posted on her blog, well I know they are still human. I have already try closing on eye all the time, seeing that she is taking care of the kids well. Not that I am fussy or what, but why does she wanna take short cut in all her job and do things sneakily behind us? Sigh….Kakak ….oi….Kakak!!!

I cannot believe that I am so lazy to update my blogs nowadays. It seems like there is 101 things waiting to be done, plan what to bake for this coming end year class party for QQ and plan my next week vacation.
Although I am super busy with the kids, I read Facebook and comment updates by my friends. I am too addicted to it. It is only when there is a long-winded story to tell or something to share, I will remember to come back to my own blog!
Remember the Eye Stimulator QQ is currently using? Actually we need to patch one of her eyes while she exercise one eye. Since we were so lazy to go buy one (I know she will hate to wear it too), I google online and follow this tutorial. Made her this……

Pretty or not? Doesn’t it look so cool and sweet? It is so suitable for long time wearing if any kid need to wear this all the time to patch one of their eyes. QQ does not as she needs to patch both her eyes!
Just got some felt from 1U and stitch them up into a patch casing for her glasses. Stitching can be done better actually but I am just so lazy that I even used double sided tape to tape the butterfly to her patch!

This is how the back of it looks like (excuse me on the not neat stitches, as long as it can cover will do la…)
She have not tried this yet as we are lazy to put her on the exercise last night. See how lazy I am. Tomorrow I’ll start to bake again for her class party.

We were so worried about QQ’s lazy eyes when we found out more details about it. Although her long sighted power has improved tremendously, we were not very happy to find out that lazy eyes is not something that can be cure for sure or claimed under the disability appeal. Details on previous post: http://www.demoments.net/blog/?p=2761
Anyway, we also just found out that there is this machine called CAM Vision Stimulator that can help people with Lazy Eyes.
How to use
- Patch the “OK” eye and work on the lazy eye (QQ’s case, both eyes rotates the patching)
- Place the discs (starting from large wave to finest)
- Get the patient to write/draw/do focus activity on the transparent plate above the spinning disc for one minute
- Stop and replace finer disc. Repeat procedure No.2
- Do the same from Disc 1 till Dics 7
Frequency of activity
No fast rule. Treatment interval starts with daily, fortnightly, weekly then slowly lengthen the interval to monthly.
Where we got this machine
This eye stimulator is actually borrowed from QQ’s opthamologist. According to him, this machine only cost between Rm400-Rm500. To be effective, we only had to use it for 2 months. If no improvement, then treatment shall be discontinue. If you wish to find out more about the effectiveness, it would be better to get consultation first from your eye specialist/ opthamologist prior seeking for this machine.

It had been a very tiring and packed weekend for us. On Saturday QQ went to KLCC for her concert rehearsal in the morning (arrangement done by school) so hubby only had to pick her to and from school after work. After resting a while, we went out earlier at 4.30pm to be the silly Saturday jam (although she has to be at KLCC at 6.30pm) so that she will not be late for her concert.

QQ performing on stage with Song “Don’t stop till you get enough” by Micheal Jackson
It was raining. Park at the KLCC Convention Center (damn expensive parking man), we rushed over to KLCC to grab a lipstick (see how seldom I put make up on) and then back to Convention Center to grab a bite at the Kenny Rogers before putting QQ into the hall. If only they had the mass notification system to call in the kids, we would have eaten faster and would not be late.

At 16 months only, the boys kinda enjoy the musical evening too. Korkor fell asleep halfway while Didi was dancing to the beat (more of walking to and fro from one seat to another). Now I can’t wait to see my boys perform in another 3 years time ;p
