Celebrations in June
June is the greatest month of the year, in our life. Back in
1972, 12 June: Birth of the first TAN (hubby)
2003, 22 June: Mrs Tan (Me) joined the TAN family
2004, 4 June: Birth of the 3rd TAN (our first daughter, QQ)
2008, 29 June: Birth of the 4th and 5th TAN (our twin, De Bumbo Boys)
All our family celebrations are cramped in June. Except mine in July (coz I am not one of the original TAN lol). But never mind, I still love June. Because I have lots of cakes to eat!
This coming weekend we will go back to hubby’s hometown. Initial plan was to celebrate the boys’ birthday just with hubby’s family. Just a small steamboat/ satay celup dinner for 20pax, done at home. Somehow plan has changed last minute. Hubby is a bit disappointed, I feel that. (Good thing is that I do not have to bake anymore. Am tired also by baking 2 sessions of cupcakes already).
Since we will still go back this week, hubby suggested a BBQ. Just a few of us at home. Isn’t that great? I love that idea. It excites me again! Will pack in advance and we shall leave for hometown before dawn. Am going to get some adult diapers for my neighbour before I leave. This time we will only marinate the wings and do simple fried mee hoon. I’ll be with the boys indoor anyway. Anyone wanna eat, just go “bakar sendiri” 
I like the last line. Haha! Then who is going to bakar for you? no need to ask, must be the low kong lor.

BBQ and steamboat is the easiest and best lah, not so much work on that night itself cos can prep earlier mah.

BBQ!! I like it! May I suggest you to buy some bacon and can bakar till crips. Then, add some fresh onion (or you can bakar that onion) and eat together. Wwoow…..delicious!!!! I missed the BBQ session too! But remember to drink plenty of WATER or ‘liang cha’ to cool down the body.

ooi, u know what….we actually shared an important month….our june is somehow an impt one too though not my boys’ bday!! as we’ll be gathering back in hometown at the north, it’ll be our all-in-one celebration (my FIL, my lou-kung, father’s day & belated mother’s day for MIL)……..thumb up!! happy bday to all your family members born in June!!
