How often do you take family portrait?

At last I found a nice frame-able family picture, thanks to Kevin from SLBS.

I have been wishing to take some nice family portrait with the kids since there will not be any additional kids to our family anymore (unless accident, *touch wood*). Although it seems easy, but in real it is not easy to take a family portrait by ourselves. I am a lousy camera man, (or I should be getting a better camera :p). Nor we can rely on our maid coz all pictures taken from her surely turns out blur.

It would be good to capture at least one portrait together each year. Kids grow fast, we grow old quick too, so it is good to capture each of their moment with us.

Wonder how often the rest capture their family moments together……

  1. Nice family photo. I seldom took family photo, normally just concentrate taking children photo haha.

  2. one of the twin is doing “gong xi gong xi”??? so cute!

my family takes quite a few family photos together ever since the boys around. normally, we will use a tripod, and we will take a few shots (insurance shots) *hehe*

i will post my cny family photo once i get hold of it.

  3. hahha..I was just going to suggest u use a tripod. that way..no shaking, no blurness.

  4. Whole family photos le.. Good..

    Gong xi fatt choi le.

  5. we took few family potraits every yr, usually on occasions, esp on CNY, kids n our birthdays and Christmas. most of our family photos r taken by ourselves using tripod…. we usually take until we satisfy hahaha

  6. nice family portrait. I just realised that we hardly take one when Ashley was younger :S It’s usually her with daddy or her with me. We just started to take them only recently *slaps forehead*

  7. nice photo… we hardly take family photo too, mostly is kids photo only.. LOL

  8. We were kinda regret when we didn’t take much family potrait with Braedyn. Now with Shayanne along, we tried to at least take one family potrait at each trip that we went…of course using timer on the camera larr…hahaha. Hmmm…maybe we should even consider to have professionally done family potrait hor :).

  10. happy chinese new year!

i know wht u mean in having a good family picture…so hard to take with young kids. we dont have a good one too and so fast the kids grow eh.

hey, i cant tell ur twins apart anymore. kor-kor used 2 be ‘bigger’ but now they both look the same. who’s the one always sucking his thumb? same like rye li, sucking left thumb only.

  11. the sucking thumb one is always kor-kor, hehe…

  12. He,he..It has become a family routine for my family….we took once in 2 years period…..since none of us want our photo to turn out ugly, we go to studio to take it…and the outcome..fanstatic even though it is really havoc and mess during the process….ha,ha…but, seeing my princes grow up, really worth it lor…

  13. oh mind, how envy i am. Believe it or not, i don’t have even ONE family photo. You just remind me to do so. Hmmn, must take one tonight.

  14. Nice family photo. :)

We take it once a year during CNY at my MIL place (hehe she’s the one want to take the pic). We use tripod (no maid around hahaha). Sometimes diff to get nice photo as the kids are always the one refuse to corporate (either moving around, screaming, refused to sit still, not looking at the camera etc etc).

  15. awww… nice family pic :)

  16. hi Chinnee, we’ll take family photo whenever we have chance, usually it will be more than once in a year.

  17. Gong Xi! nice one. I know, I am seriously lacking in family portraits myself.

  18. If got opportunity, then take lotsa of family photos. :)

  19. wah.. the kor kor really full time thumb sucking.

Very difficult to take family shots with young kids ler.

  20. We oso don’t take much family portraits. When we do take them, not everyone (esp the kids) is looking at the camera. I think shld really make use of the tripod n snap till we’re satisfied with the pics.
