The bad virus is still around
As expected, the virus that attacked QQ now goes to my poor boy, Twin 2. First it is my girl to vomit and have diarrhoea, followed by high fever. Then poor mummy gets it (only fever and mild diarrhoea), and now my youngest boy gets it. Although he is just only having mild fever, he gets really cranky. Baby Then now refuse bottle altogether, so he only have to rely on my limited bm.
Although they hardly drink any formula, I still give them some plain water, although not recomended by pead. I am worried they will dehydrated if they do not get enough milk from me. Wonder if other mummy who exclusively breastfeed their baby feeding plain water too?
I never feed water. Just keep feeding Elizabeth BM. Anyway, this sounds serious. Take care, Chinnee.
oh dear… do take care ok… hope everyone gets well real soon… continue to bf and baby will be well soon (maybe 5 days or so), trust me (got experience before)
the reason you wanna give water is to avoid baby having oral thrush… zen had that last time but not major problem… maybe just give a few sips to “wash” the mouth after bm… don’t worry about dehydration if they are peeing well…

I hope Twin 2 is okay. I fell sick as well recently, and am still sick. What seemed to be a harmless sore throat has developed into a stuffy nose, swollen uvula, and repeated coughs. Hope Twin 2 gets well soon, as so do I!

I don’t feed water, bm only. Oh Poor twin 2, hope he get well soon. Did u take him to the doctor?

i didnt feed water when i exclusively breastfd my twin boys..coz I have confident in my BM. However i supplement myself with lots of fluid to ensure they gain it through my BM. Anyway BM is very easily digestable and have the proper water proportion. Just check for the signs of dehydration like skin wrinkling, dry lips, etc for signs of dehydration if u r worried. Have faith in your BM. U take cafre rest more and drink enough coz your twin need your BM and prefer it anyway.

i started giving water from birth when bf her. i just wanted to encourage her and to get used to drinking water. no prob for me.

My bbsitter fed YY water too when she was breastfed. Although bf babies don’t need water, I was OK with it since she was a really nice lady and I don’t think water will do any harm.
hope your little baby boy gets well soon. i’ve never fed lyan fung water. i just clean his tongue with water when bathing him.
