Up right too soon?

Amazing with what babies today can do in their early days.
Dislike being tug and swaddle with a cloth
We believe that when babies are tied up, they will be less frighten and will not jerk when sleeping. Unlike most baby girls, my boys are quite rough. They do not allow us to swaddle them with cloth upon reaching home (will wail like mad if we do, trying to free their hands out of the cloth). So instead we let them free but sleep facing down.

Can raise their head and turn easily
Afraid of SIDS? Haha….no need so worried la. Since they don’t like to be swaddle, we let them sleep on their tummy. Amazingly, they could lift up their heads easily and turn left and right for the best position! They even only want to be carried upright instead of lying like a baby ( until I am so worried of their spinal problem and head support!)
When old people sees this, they said we ate too much nutrient, until young babies that we carry even have abilities like that. True ah? I remember QQ macam more *lembik* (soft) as compare to her brothers.
* so contented to see the boys since I am bringing them up myself this time. Must really celebrate it with a good bottle of wine of the month club!
i think we have sufficient calcium intake…that’s why they have strong bones. My Clarissa can turn her head at 3 days old…i have no worries letting her sleep on her tummy throughout the day.
If i am not mistaken , i think Kor Kor looks like daddy , right??

Not sure if it’s a boy thing…since I don’t have girls. My boys..all can lift their heads easily too. No.3 sleeps on tummy as well. Not worried about SIDS at all….I think there are other factors in play when it comes to SIDS.

Wah, baby Zhen so fast can lift his head so high up… my Jolie also hate to be swaddled :S Her hands very fast will find it’s way out of the lampin, so we don’t tied her up so much like her brothers used to be…

My boy also hates to be swaddled……..I’d stop swaddling him in the 1st week. Brandon also can turn his body halfway already. Perhaps I also took much nutrients? haha

yea babies these days are much stronger compared to our time. definitely the food intake and calcium we take during pregnancy. mine also was lifting her head up after a month which surprised me coz i was expecting babies to be really lembut for a while.
anyway, i feel i’m not taking as much calcium now compared to my first pregnancy so will c if it’s the same second time round or not.
ur boys are really growing real fast…soon, u’ll be preparing for their 1st birthdays!

Wah… baby so big already ah. Good to let them sleep on their tummy so that their head would turn out round and nice. Hehehe. In case they want cut their hair real short when they are older. I wrap Jon from chest down (cannot call this swaddle huh?) but let his hand loose cos I was afraid of him getting colic. dunno if this way would ward off colic or not la?

Bb Zhen has vy strong neck hor. Vy cute to c him hold his head up like that - with his mohawk hair samo. hehehe

hahaha…agree that boys are faster….my son oso lift his head around 1mth plus…but time really flies…soon he’ll b celebrating 1 yr old……and now he’s oredi climbing everywhere liao….;) i think my girl only dare to stand up when she was 1 yr plus…this boy only around 8 mth plus…oredi standing (holding on to something lar…)… so, no need to worry….

I think it is still better to have the babies sleeping on their backs. There may be other factors involved..it is always better to take precaution. I’ve read an article about SIDS recently and it freaked me out. Cassie is always sleeping on her back now.
