My maid pregnant?
Ok, more of maid horror story again.
Don’t know what’s wrong with our maid. Just a month here, she gained 4kg in less than 2 months! Even her boobs and buttock look so big now until she complaint that she cannot wear the new underwear I bought for her when she arrives 2 month ago.
Few days back, CL even told me to keep an eye on her as she saw my maid peeping at our window a few times when the postman arrives. She even dare to nap on Sunday afternoon when my house is full of guests!
This morning, when my CL told me that she notice her vomited twice, my hubby gets suspicious and asked me if she is pregnant since she is gaining too much of weight until her body goes out of shape!
Oh God, then only I remember we did leave her alone for a few days at home (with our house keys) while I was giving birth in the hospital. Since it is only 3 weeks, don’t think the test kit can tell. Maybe I should just pretend and ignore until it is due (in end August) to pay the maid’s balance advance 4 months salary?
Hiring a maid today is so expensive, even more expensive than us having to pay for our truck rental now.
Any advice to share?

these days test kits very accurate, still can see if pregnant even if early state but the way u describe ur maid, she cld have been pregnant already before u delivered. better take her for a test now and if she is, you will just have to send her back. not sure how ur agent will have the replacement though and i sure hope ur agent is better than mine.

hmm, already told you not to take so young maid as their mind is not mature enough… anywhere, you faster send her to testing and ask for refund from your agent…
If your maid already have the sign of morning sickness and the body is out of shape, she should be at least 4 o 5 weeks pregnant. The test skit should be able to tell.
huh??? better send her back 2 ur agent asap, get replacement or refund. so sorry to hear this and hope u and please try to ask ur CL to stay for 6 weeks as mine stay for 6 weeks and play her extra until things are more organise. Take care & most importantly be strong.

Better call the agent and let them send her for pregnancy test, and get a replacement quickly if she is confirmed pregnant! Some agents won’t take back after 3 months!
Test kits these days very good edi… try it out 1st, if still unsure, get check checked out by the GP… better ASAP, so that you have a reason for full refund/exchange!
huh? u mean the maid allow strangers to enter yr house ar??!! ur maid so “wanting sex” n got pregnant so quickly? i think, get it checked and if found positive, i think better talk to the agent. u dont want another set of headaches
if shes reli preg, i think is b4 she came over prob she din even noe dat shes preg until she came coz im sure she did her medical checkup b4 she came over…. i think better act fast b4 ur CL leaves

Oh my, I agree with the others, send her for a test and call the agent the soonest possible. Now, here I am cracking my head thinking whether to get a new maid or not.

that could oso explains why ur twins are so cranky coz some old folks believe that pregnant woman are not supposed to touch new borns, otherwise the newborn will be very cranky day n nite…..no wonder ur maid sleep so much….better get rid of her fast. Take care ya.

With so much (!) happening in your home (1 toddler plus 2 infants plus CL plus new maid),
all this EXTRA STRESS INDUCED by premature conclusion-jumping and speculation can’t be helpful.
Not to the situation, and not good either for your health or your family’s well being.
If eventually she’s tested to be pregnant, time enough to deal with it THEN.
Right now, I’d say, you need every bit of serenity and normalcy you can get.
IF and when your worst fears are proven (and I sincerely hope they WON’T be),
all the more you need to stay calm, not mad, bcos whatever happens,
you need to stay positive to solve problems effectively
rather than get sucked into all the negativity of regrets and bad vibes… counterproductive la…
After all, you’re priority must be to ensure a non-chaotic environment for the 3 kids.
as per tohers, better get her tested now and at least u dont rugi much if maid is being sent back to agent in 3 mths time. i think u wld still need to pay for the levy, air ticket,etc for new maid, but the worst part is that u wld be wo one.
gotta start planning now just in case she is really pregnant.

i checked my preg when i was 3 weeks preggie and can see the line. Maybe she gained weight cos she eat good, sleep good, live good?
dont wait la… do the test asap or bring her for scan. ultrasound could tell you the answer.

Wow pregnant maid! I always thot that maids have to put some sort of birth control in their body for prevention before coming to Malaysia to work.

Why maid can get pregnant so easily? So many wife trying to conceive for ages also cannot get pregnant. Anyway, do a home pregnancy test and everything will be clear by then.
I don’t think your maid pregnant lor…why? Because my sis maid also put on weight since she arrived in April…only 3 mths plus, she put on weight a lot till cannot wear her pant anymore…and she get fairer….of course lar….didnt’ do proper house work, never sweep and wash car porch, seldom wash car, and even worst, every day, she take a nap and has 5 meals (breakfast - teabreak - lunch - teabreak - dinner - supper)….imagine ler….my sis stock of cereal, coffee, etc…finished up so fast!!!
how old exactly is the maid? i had a similar problem once but it turned out to be early menopause.
mine too looked very young, probably in her 20’s. just ask her if she needs to buy sanitary napkins and see her reaction.

If it was 3 weeks from the time your left her alone, can tell liao, if it is pregnancy. It will be 3+2 = 5 weeks pregnant now (assuming she got pregnant 3 weeks ago).
dear chinnee, hope that you don’t get too stressed up. No use worrying until you know what is happening. Yup, agree with everyone. Test her send her for a check up first… then decide on the next move. Hope that it is nothing. Take care
i thought i just have my maid lari problem and cheated on us is bad enough..poor you gotta encounter maid problem during confinement some more.
My bro in law had the same suspicioun in Singapore. They took the maid for a medical check up and when they knew the result was positive that she was pregnant, they sent her off without giving her chance to know coz afraid she may harm or do funny things to the children at home. Take her morning urine test with the pregnancy kit. If confirm positive, dont confront her until you are ready to send her straight to agent and make sure they send her off coz I once had a “crazy” maid whom they recycled to a old folks home. Bad news is the agent probably wont refund you fully . The clause for refund is if they maid is dead or failed medical check up with 1st month I think. You can check with your agent and see. You probably wont have to pay the agent fees but gotta pay the levi and airfare again. Sorry CN for your problem.

wait.. wait… better don’t jump to conclusion unnecessary. CL can say something, Maid can say something. It’s actually quite normal for maids to put on weight cos some of them are given contraceptive jabs. As for vomitting, can be due to illness or others.
You can mildly confront her and see what she says, so as not to trigger unwanted things. If really found out pregnant, then do the necessary. Kick her back, get your money, get a better maid (hopefully).
These maids, no matter how good they may appear to be, can have hidden agendas. I thought I had a good maid the last time, until she went back home. She was a devil in disguise. You never know..
Take care. Don’t leave your kids alone with her at home. Don’t let her wander out on her own as well.

Dear Chinnee, my family got same problem as well with the maid long time ago. She ended up giving birth in my house, in my room and on her bed (we were sharing same room). Believe it? I was like only 6yrs old and my mum only just gave birth my younger bro. My parents noticed that she had been gaining weight and looked fat in just short time. However, she denied that she was pregnant and claimed that she was only FAT as she ate a lot. We believed at her too as she had worked for us for 7 yrs and she was still climbing up and down wiping fan, windows etc etc and her performance did remain as good. Only and till she was having contraction and water bag burst, the truth finally reviewed. Could you imagine the MESS in my room and some more my parents were not at home and I could only call mum and told her Kakak not feeling well???? When my parents got home, she was almost giving birth and yelling. At the end, she gave birth 2 min after the ambulance arrived. hahaha…
She wanted to stay back to work but my parents rejected her as no one had confident that she could still looking after us when she needed to look after her baby in the same time too. Anyway, she was indeed a good maid…
Quickly get ur maid to test and check it out…. Don’t repeat the night mare that we had before…btw, my room was too smelly that we left for room for few months empty with some dunno-wat spices/herbs…
OMG! My maid got pregnant too (that was 6 years ago)! As far as I could remember, we let her in the house alone for one day only and bingo! Since she worked quite long for us, and she wanted to abort it, my parents arranged the abortion in a hospital and asked the guy (she told us the culprit) to pay for it. Terrible experience!

Chinnee, don’t jump to conclusions first. Check out if it’s really true, then only worry about it. Don’t add unnecessary stress to yourself at this point. You have enough to worry about as it is. I hope it’s just a false alarm.

i was in this situation once. my maid was with us for only 6 months! in sg we have to send them for medical checks every 6mths. at the end of her first 6mths, my GP said my maid was 3mths pregnant. it was unbelievable! tat means she had already been sleeping when she was with us the first 3mths! terrible. we quickly send her back, cos agent say if not, anything happens, we might have to answer for it… like if she run away pregnant and bla bla bla. she even dont want to admit it was her baby, she say is hantu or some evil one. best is get her a quick checkup with the doc, then at home pack her bags and send straight to agency.
I think likelihood is that maid is getting fat from too much good food. After all, they eat 5 meals a day (breakfast, mid morning break, lunch, tea and dinner) and go to bed at 9.30pm, while in Indonesia, most of them only had one meal or two per day (my ex maid told me her family only had one meal per day). Most of mine can consume a 30sachet 3 in 1 coffee in 2 or 3 days and eat 2 tai pau or equiv for tea time. Most , maybe, all ( can’t remember) of my maids put on weight within the first 2 or 3 months. And we always have to buy new clothes for them by then cos their tee shirt, jeans and pants were like wrapping “ba chang” around them. But if your 6th sense tell u otherwise, you should send her for a checkup. About the vomitting , most of mine vomit if they consume too much milk with their 3 in one coffee because they are not used to it. did you notice whether she add a lot of cow milk to her instant coffee mix?
