Life with the kids after one week

Thanks to all friends who drops by frequently to visit us. I must apologize if I still cannot visit your blog at the moment, but be assure I’ll come back as I still read them on my reader. Some updates about each of us here.
What is happening to Jie-Jie
Of course happy la…but she still call herself mei-mei and keep calling the elder twin “kor-kor” and younger one “di-di”. In fact all of us at home call them the same thing. Although QQ really behaves weird and making me crazy now, she surely loves her little brothers and wanting to be with them all time. Last time she used to say that she wanna keep only one and give one away, but when we ask her now, haha…she wants them all!
What is happening to the Babies
Brought them to the hospital (we went private coz we do not want them to be tortured by the trainees anymore) for thyroid blood test. Poor boys kena poked and wailed like mad for a long time (lot of test need to be done again) and came back shocked for days (with green poo). Me, and the confinement lady were in tear like a mad cow in the clinic…sigh…..
Well, the result came out and they are found to have hyperthyroidism
I hope it is due to the thyroisine medication that I am taking which cause that). They have to repeat this test again maybe a month later to see if it is really them who has thyroid problem. Really worried now.
What is happening to the fat cow mummy
I can walk better, but bleeding is getting worse. Breastfeeding schedule is not established as I still get lots of rest and naps (when time permit). I really hope I still have time to establish my milk supply to the boys.
On the other hand, taking care of the 2 boys is really making me crazy. Unlike QQ, they do not feed and sleep. We need to spend a lot of time feeding them, burping them (SO FREQUENTLY coz they kept on waking up crying all time), changing them, and by the time everything is done, feeding starts again.
Thing get worse for me when QQ get cranky (that happens all time!!!)

oh you poor dear. and the poor babies getting poked all over. Dont worry about establishing your milk supply. I started late too. and it was too engorged by the time a consultant came to my house to help me out, spend 3 hours with me trying to get the milk out. one week later supply went up and up and up, till 40oz daily, just to give u an idea. Just keep yourself rested, okay?
oh I love the photo of the babies and their jie jie. So adorable.
Poor you….just hang in there, ok? *hugs*
poor you.. sorry didn’t read your other posts yet so not sure why there’s bleeding.. but you need to make sure the wound don’t get infected ya..
maybe can give QQ some tasks so she feels like proud sister and won’t get cranky?
hope the boys will be ok by the next test ya..
Phew! I guess in time all things will fall into a schedule… just hope that that time comes soon for you… And with regards to your bleeding, have you checked out with the Dr?
I guess it really is not easy to carry and then take care of twins eh? For your sake, hope they will establish a routine soon, so mummy can rest more. Take care.
Poor mummy ! Although I’ve only one child but I truly understand what you’re going through … I hope you’ll recover soon, to be able to take good care of your lovely children
All the best!!!
it alws tough to handle a cranky toodler and newborn. wat’s more you have TWO neborns!
just bear in mind that QQ may be trying to get your attention, tat is why sometimes she is fussy.
take care of urself too!
I know how you feel as I was having a 1.5 years old toddler and a newborn before too, plus breastfeeding, 24 hours a day just never seem to be enough for me…..
But trsut me ithis time will soon pass and you’ll be enjoying the great time with a cute daughter & a pair of beautiful boys, how sweet is that huh?
Take care and will drop by again.
Actually, how can u tell which is koko and which is didi? Heheh..Just wondering, coz with twins..I’m sure I’ll get confused! QiQi looks so cute with her lil brothers!
I really tabik you…twins are double work! Am glad to hear u r resting. Well, trying anyway. I hope your confinement lady will stay with you until 6 weeks…hahahaha…or else, u sure pengsan! Hope the maid is doing her work properly!
Poor boys..kena poked…hate it when babies get poked…so painful!
poor boys….
Take care Chin Nee and give some time to adjust ok…
You are doing fine and great..keep it up…
Are thyroid test commonly done on babies? Hmm..i donno if either of my boys had it.
I can imagine how crazy life was. I thought I will never be able to manage the boys on my own in the beginning, but now i am getting better at it. So much better that i have scrapped my idea of hiring a maid. I think I will survive.
So trust me, it will past. Stability and routine will come back to your life. And you will have 2 lovely boys to share it!
p/s: Great job jie-jie…Pls give her a hug from aunty!
simply adorable…all your 3 kids…I think it makes all moms want to hv twins..hehehehe….
Sometimes, our babies make us become cry-baby ourselves ..haha..right ?
Hv you asked ur gynea abt the bleeding…??? Tk cr ok…
chinnee, hope the bleeding not so serious and please consult your gynae if this continue, as for the twin pray it due to thyroisine medication, don’t worry to much ya…. rest more, sleep more and eat more, the rest just close one eye
dun worry chinnee, its a matter of time to adapt to everything…. i noe its difficult now but the phase will soon, very very soon be gone… n u have a very happy family wif ur newborn twin… take care
By the way what’s the name of your twins? Is there any way to differentiate them?
adoi, all the best, u can do it supermom! o.O
thanks all. haha, only mummy with twins will know what kind of pregnancy journey that twin mama has to go thru. Once u experience it, you wouldn’t want to go thru it (with so much fear for caring multiples!)
Differentiate them is no problem at the moment as their size is very much difference. But once didi catch up with kor-kor, haha…..we will have difficulty as their face is almost the same.
I do fear when I think of the moment CL leaves. I cried the last time, i think this time lagi teruk…HAHA….
All the best chinnee, that’s all i can say for now.
Chin Nee
By reading your posts, it really make me want to drive to Sg long to see your twins. They are just so tiny and adorable. Such gifts from God. Yeah, its true we never knew what you experience unless we have twins. Anyway by you sharing, I learn a lot already…
Enjoy your confinement ya……….:)
*hugs* to kor kor, di di and jiejie and mummy
hi chinnee, your boys look so cute. The 3 kids picture looks just perfect!
Hope that things will turn out fine with the boys and you will get better soon. I know one can only imagine what you are going through and its tough. But you have gone this far, only a little bit more and things will be better. Hang in there, ya!
Life with more than one baby is not easy. Thus, I do not want to do 2 embryos transfer if possible. Well, I hope everything will get better for you soon..
thanks a lot!! Rachel, as you do not have a blog, I still wish to know more of you. Do come anytime if you wish to. lilchomel, the most difficult challenge (preg & delivery of the twins) has passed. Now is the parenting part. Jasmine, I wish you all the best and may your wish come true soon.
so, how u’re bf them exclusively or are they on formula now?
jiejie looks very happy.
The hubby and I wanted to have multiples..but slap ourselves everytime we think of that..hahaha..
I can imagine how crazy life is for you Chin Nee coz I am also feeling dizzy (not joking) with 2 toddlers and 1 bb who is very demanding. Nvm, we give each other support! Just don’t give up on the breastfeeding. BTW, just wondering, do you tandem bf? Anyone help you to do that? You hv a CL?
Chin Nee, i got surprised when i got to know the babies are having hyperthyroidism. why are you taking the thyroisine medication when u pregnant?
I was under thyroisine medication earlier but i stop medication once i got to know that im pregnant. However, my O & G advised to continue taking it although my blood test reprot shows slight under the range. Now, im doubt after reading yr post..
Hyerthyroisine? How come they got it? Well, don’t worry too much, once you settled in your daily schedule, everything will be fine…I know you can….it seem now, that ‘demand is more than supply, huh’? Do enjoy every moment of it..and dont’ worry too much okie?
Mmm…I used to tell mums who have baby girls that they are *very blessed* because most baby boys are like that in the first month!
Don’t be too shocked OK esp as you have two
Lucas was like that too - crying and yelling all the time until I went bonkers.
In your case, they are twins, which means they are sympathetic to each other. If one cries, the other will too!
I’ve had hyperthyroidism for more than 5 years. Will pray for the best for your boys…that it’s just the thyroxine.
You should REST ie sleep when you can and seriously, not blog! Then only will you have the stamina later…
