Finally back home

Huh…c-sect is really painful (during & especially after). Am still almost an invalid now, and the brothers are taking turn WAILING like mad behind.
I’ll do a quick update what happened to me on that “special evening”!
JUNE 28, 2008 : Saturday morning
- 3-4cm dilated, cervix thinned during check up
- asked to go home to pack and admit
3pm @ HUKM
- admitted with water bag burst artificially
- 4pm: 4cm dilated with contraction 5 mins apart
- unbearable pain, start taking Etonox gas (epidural not available)
7pm @ labor room
- 5cm dilated.
- Dizzy after taking too much gas
- Epidural arrived (but already crying in pain)
9pm @ labor room
- 9cm dilated
- although contraction pain has been reduced, my vaginal was too sored after so much check up by the doctors and trainees!
11pm @ labor room
- 10cm dilated, vaginal birth + ventouse attempted
- first head seen but too weak and dizzy to push
JUNE 29, 2008 : Finally delivered
1am @ operating theater
- Was too weak although head seen already.
- Nothing they can do except performing an emergency
- Blood was oozing out after the op so I was retained.
JULY 1, 2008 : Finally discharge
Got to go now. More horror stories about delivering in government hospital to tell after this! Thanks for all sms, and I really need to apologize for not being able to reply.

congratulations….c-sect is not tat bad….i would opt for it over normal delivery any time…;) …u take care, k? will be visiting u and ur princes soon…;)

nvm…the most important is all of you are ok….the pain will be cured when you see your 2 boys….it is worth it…
Like what chanel said, its over, lets not look back anymore, just look at how sweet the brothers are… i always wish I could have twin babies, you are a lucky mommy.
Could tell you were in so much pain during delivery. As long as you and the babies are fine and well, worth the pain…take good care of yourself ya.

Scary man, specially having to go thru emergency C-Sect at the very last minute… I guess all the poking and prodding took it’s toll :s

my experience having c-sect at govt hospital (putrajaya) was not that bad…they drs and nurses were very kind…but in ur case, having emergency c-sect must be differrent kan..
btw..do take care..have a nice confinement period..

Home already??!! You look pretty well in the photo. Can imagine the pain you have to go through..”up” on the tummy area and “down” there as well. Take care….

BTW, during c-section are you aweak or put in sleep. Heard my friend said her situation is the same like you. But she need to c-section without any drug or pain killer. She could feel the pain when dr operate her. GOSH!!

sorry to hear that after so much contractions pain u still have to go thru c-section…. anyway im sure it worth it wen u c ur bbs n will forget about all the pain :p

They look pretty big for twins. Isn’t it a relieve to be discharged from the hospital and be resting at home?

OMG…i read your post also i feel pain! Etonox at 4cm dilations? My midwife refused to give it to me until i was 8cm becoz she said it may make me too dizzy if give too early.
But, like wat the others have said, past is past…best to look forward to happiness…with the 2 cute boys!!

thank god u didn’t go thru the normal & c-sect……..else suffer double pain man….
yes, i reckon that post c-sect was pain like hell……as if tearing my tummy apart!
i kept popping pain killer even after 1 whole week when i knew that the earlier ones expired soon.
anyway……big congrats to you for d successful delivery!
