Glad to see some improvements
At least after telling her yesterday, she look fresher this morning, with her face washed and teeth brushed. The house is also cleaner today, floor properly mopped. Although the house is much more cleaner than before her arrival, I am still not use to have another stranger in my house (cannot even nap in peace in the afternoon, not knowing what she will do or run away).
But on the other hand, I do appreciate things she does for me. For instant:
- My room is neat and clean daily
- Toilets are much more cleaner
- Kitchen is neater
- Less dust as most of the table tops/bed frame are wiped
- She cooks very well, as she is a fast learner
- Meals are served, and dishes done all time
- I have another extra pair of hand helping me to fetch things without having me to walk here and there
- I have someone to rely on on spring cleaning rather than have to depend on my poor hubby on weekends
I guess there is no perfect employee, just like most of us do. I do hope she will improve and strive to be a better helper, and treat my home as her second home too.

its a good thing that she listens and improves herself after wat u told her
That’s great that she is improving and you are right their is not perfect employee just like their is no perfect boss. Something I have to remind myself when I’m dealing with my two employee’s.
hi chinnee, you were like me when i 1st got my maid…even when i take bath (if no other adults at home) also dare not lock my bathroom, keep peeping outside at her….haha. that time, i was still living in apartment so can still see or hear her easily….
But not to worry (if she’s good), soon you’ll be more ‘fong sum’ and you will appreciate there’s another pair of helping hands! Good luck!
That’s why, it’s hard for me to get a maid, cos I can nvr stop worrying!! A MAID is like a timed bomb to me, as I hv mentioned b4. But, maybe when u hv got one, u hv to learn to let go & be “fong sum”. If not, what for right ?
But anyway, just hv to be watchful over her. MY friend’s maid, knocked her son’s head with her fist, even when my friend was around..she was having her bath, then she felt something amiss ( mother’s instinct), so she walked out & take a peep at what the maid was doing, to her surprise, the maid was hitting her son’s head repeatedly with her fist !!! Aiyooo…..
SO, while learn to be fong sum, we also need to be smart.
Glad that she listens and improves herself, they need to be reminded periodically though. And if you are one of the lucky ones to get a good maid, then can fong sum lo…
Even me also wish the maid will settle down and treat this as her second home, but you need to know when maids are too free, their minds wander, and if possible, do not let them mix with other maids too mcuch or they will start talking and comparing, even if you treat her so so so nice… aigh…
so far so good ya.. hope you’ve got a good one
maybe you can start telling her what you are expecting her to do after your delivery so that you don’t have to worry about her then..
good to know that you finally got a maid who can help you in the house chore.
have you taught her how to prepare milk for qiqi? I remember my previous maid always got the wrong measurement, sigh!
Good to know that! A little worries off your mind now. Just give her some time to learn.
sounds like your maid is not too bad, lar, if she is a fast learner. Mine would open the door and gate after midnite to throw garbage despite being forbidden and would forget to lock, then forgot to switch off gas or water tap for like 5 hours, etc. I send her to FIL for the rest of her term cos i dont have time to watch out for her.No difference whether she mop or not. But i think yours is okay if things are cleaner and better since your maid came like cleaner kitchen and less dust.
Sounds like your maid is ok. Well, they need constant guidance. I took extra precaution by not letting my previous maid touch my son’s milk and milk preparation. Because he is the baby and cannot fend for himself. Your situation should be ok cos qiq is big enough to help you monitor the maid! Hehehe. Sometimes have a maid-to-ma’am talk with my previous maid. Asking if she has any problems and what I can do to help her ease her problem. Normally no problem la. Well, a little help is better than no help.
Glad to hear that she’s improving after you talked to her. Wow, she’s not bad coz she can cook.
Good to hear that.. At least she do listen and change for better
At least she improves after u told her. Hopefully it’s a sign that she listens to ppl’s advice. It’s great to hv an extra pair of helping hands, altho it sometimes comes with inconveniences. Well, there’s always pros n cons to everything.
it’s a matter of getting used to a new environment and new family. Soon, she’ll get even better. I wish you luck with your new household help
good to read abt her improvement. well done you! o.O
yalah…no one is perfect. But good that things are better.
