Am I in labour or what?

2 more days to reach 36th week

Am I in labour or what?

Today, I feel lots of “tightening/Braxton Hicks/contraction/hardening“. Oh dear, horrible me, can you believe that until now I still cannot differentiate what it is. But since there is no pain, and I am still not panting like those in TV, I suppose it is not the true labour?

That is the bad thing about being induced in my first pregnancy. I still remember, there was this same “tightening” episode in the early stage when I was induced for QQ’s delivery. However, it suddenly turned into horrible bad pain (contraction) when my water bag was artificially burst until I could not stand and asked for epidural. So my first delivery wasn’t a very natural one, can say not much of any experience all.

Hubby’s birthday (twins achievement of 36 weeks) is just 2 days away. I hope I am only experiencing Braxton Hicks at the moment, and they can still wait for a while, just a little while more….

Message to the boys:

Choose your date of birth, darlings, for it is going to fix your future & destiny, HAHAHA!!!!!!!!!

Also it is time to remove all my handcrafted jewelry since I would be admitted very very soon!

  1. Yeah, time is near but I think your boys might be comfy in the oven yet :P As soon as you feel timed contractions, then it’s probably time :P For my 2nd pregnancy, I went to the hospital when contractions were 7 minutes apart, lasting for about 20 - 30 seconds each, I think *hehe*… hang in there…

  2. still blogging now? may be false alarm. :D
hang in there ya. and all the best to you & and the boys~!

  3. Sound like you are anxious to get the twins out. Relax yeah!

  4. OMG OMG!!! When I was in labour, I thot it was just a normal stomach ache..can go back to sleep somore!!!! The tightening is definitely Braxton Hicks. But, if u feel very intense period-like pains(cramps)..that’s labour pain!
Whatever it is, i’ll be praying for a very safe delivery.

  5. I suppose no one mother experience the same kind of labor pain. Time your “Tightening” , if it’s getting more frequent, if it’s lasting longer each time, then you are definitely in labor. Look out for the cramp at the pelvic line too.

You think your boys will choose to come out on Daddy’s birthday? Good luck yea.

  6. I also waiting anxiously for your good news !!!!

  19. when i have my second baby, i also have the same thought as you too. Don’t know how the actual labour contraction is… that’s why I went to hospital only when I really cannot bear the pain, and thought maybe that is the labour contraction. :)
