Getting blur and tired

What’s happening to me

I think I am getting blur these days, as if my mind is not working at all. Forgetful most of the time, I really need to rely a lot on my computer memory to remember the work. All I do every day is to lie on bed, as the weight is really pulling me down, affecting me quite badly, especially my walking ability. By now, I think almost everything is done, my niece has moved out, so now the confinement room is vacant. We just have to pick up our maid when hubby is free, get her to help do some simple cleaning over the weekends.

I really hope I can carry the babies as long as I can, near to their EDD which is in July 10th. Sounds a bit impossible, for anyone who has seen me will say so, as my tummy is really low by now. Just imagine, I can even feel one and sometimes 2 heads down there, as I move my legs!

Delivery plan

If the babies arrival clashes with QQ’s nanny’s trip to Bangkok next month, hubby might not be able to go into delivery room with me as he needs to take care of QQ. See how inconvenient it is for us, as we have no one here (my parents are far and still working), but to depend everything on ourself (including getting the confinement herbs!)

Until yesterday my dear friend, Jane offer to accompany me into delivery room, which sounds like a fun idea (if she is available at the moment)

The only outstanding

So far, I still cannot think of any suitable present for my girl, on behalf of her brothers. Did some online search for siblings shirts, but I don’t think I would be able to get them shipped here on time. Any idea what should I get for QQ easily locally?

Lock tightly!

Probably we are still not use to have another stranger living with us under the same roof, there are a lot of consideration that I know we should not be taking lightly. For instant, I got to beware on every thing the kakak does, and most importantly, keep all my valuables and even the house key properly when we sleep so that she will not run away. I even had passed all the valuables at home to my mum for safe keeping in the bank. I think instead of keeping them this way, I could maybe consider making investment with the gold bullion so that the value will increase over the years.

Pregnancy @ 34 weeks

Time is getting really near and I really need to get things done fast.

Can see how much herbs we use during our confinement? Huh…I really cannot imagine myself eating them!

Thanks to the help from “Ku Mah” (nanny’s SIL) for helping me get them from one of the shop she knows very well.

I even had to make space clearance in my fridge to store all these. (Bye-bye to all my baking ingredients!)

List of herbs prepared for confinement (according to the daily herb intake list and advice from my CL)

For daily red dates drink

  • 1kg Tong sum
  • 1kg Meddler Seeds (kei chee)
  • 1kg Red dates
  • 1kg Blue dates
  • 1 pkt Dried Longan Flesh
  • RM2 Pak kei

Others

  • RM20 Anglelica (Tong Kwai)
  • RM20 Pao Sam
  • 2 pkt Sen Hua Tang (pre packed. Suitable only for mummies with vaginal delivery)
  • 3 pkt Pak Chan (pre packed)
  • 3 pkt Sap Chuen (pre packed)

Optional of expensive herbs

  • Ginseng (Yan sam)
  • Gao Lai Sam
  • Tong Chong Chou

Hope the shopping list above is useful to mummies who wish to strictly follow taking Chinese Herbs for confinement.

Just a note: Herbs are widely graded so shop according to our budget. Do only purchase from shops you trust so that you get good grade herbs with good bargain.

Hope that after taking these to heal myself properly, I can recover the beauty of my aging body by just simply taking the natural progesterone to retain my youth.

Lollipop Biz?

Am thinking about what I can do from home maybe after the kids are born, and if I am bored just being a fulltime mother to 3 kids. Still remember the Lollipop Cake Display I made for QQ’s birthday?

This is what I have in mind. With these pretty Lollipop designs (maybe a little bit touch up of professional printing, probably I could start a home business once the boys are older, say after 6 months?

I might even able to start this online business earlier, if my maid is capable managing the boys for me. Really wish to do something again, instead of sitting at home being a yellow face wife.

See, I even have a biz card ready now! Actually I have this free customized design made from one of the software online. With it’s quick and easy to use flexible features, I manage to create my card just within minutes. Furthermore, there is a great variety of logo design (coincidently I found one which match my lollipop biz !!)

So, please support yeah if I ever manage to launch my home biz one day, haha!!!

Thanks a lot to Jane and Karen for coming over to visit us last Saturday!

Jane even prepared some sweet fungus longan dessert for me, despite having to manage a baby and a toddler at the same time. Next, waiting for her red bean soup and muffins :)

Karen, a sexy mummy, is a good beauty advisor and she is very expert with the after confinement beauty care, so I am lucky to steal lots of tips from her.

We then went out for dinner with the kids (am sure you can imagine the chaos at the restaurant) nearby restaurant. Thanks for coming, and hope to see you all again!

Getting the right Bengkung

26.05.08 / Pregnancy Potrait / Author: chinneeq / Comments: (15)

Anyone uses Bengkung during their confinement will know what this is for tummy wrap to tighten our tummy. The bengkung is used to wrap the body so as to push up the uterus, clear water retention, wind, spasm, shrinks the tummy and helps to reduce weight after massage.

See the 2 bengkung below:

Bengkung from Karen. It comes with sponge (like our comforter) so it is more comfy when you tie the string criss-cross.

I bought this bengkung (without sponge) at Rm55 and only used once since it is uncomfortable being tied up with those string.

So if you are interested to use a bengkung, make sure you get the right one (with sponge so that you will not feel the discomfort from the pulling string). You can even contact Karen to help you get the one with sponge.

I lazy to modified mine so I do not plan to use it. Willing to sell at only RM 25 (inc. delivery) to anyone who is hardworking to sew add sponge to it :)

First encounter with Maid

After waited for long, in fact quite desperate now, the agent told me that my chosen maid will arrive tonight. After the medical check up, I should be able to collect her somewhere mid of next week. Just hope she will pass all the medical check without having much problem.

QQ is excited to welcome this Kakak, but it puts me a bit uneasy since this is the first time I hire a maid. Although dear Jaz gave me a duty roaster, there are so many questions going in my mind, how I should position myself when deal with her.

  • Should I be warm to her and treat her like my sister?
  • Should I put position myself as her employer and be strict to her on the very first day?
  • Should I make her busy throughout the whole day now so that she will not feel overburden when the twins arrive?

Oh, what else should I prepare or do now?

It is her BIG day today. I am celebrating her chinese birthday in school today because her real birthday:

  • it falls on a school holiday
  • her brothers might arrive by then

She has 2 cakes, one is the Lollipop Flower Cake and another real Minnie Mouse cake. Really wanna thanks Lian for the beautiful lollipop making tips. Even the teachers and friends loves the Lollipop Flower!!

Coincidently, today is also the party day for the school in conjunction to the Teacher’s Day. So they got lots of foods to eat, party packs contributed by parents and even a RM70 Pinata sponsored by one of the parents!!

I think I would be able to make some part time income by selling the Lollipop Flower Cake and Pinata from home!

“Exciting” 3rd trimester

This pregnancy is making me very “excited” as I wake up with different condition each day. Sometimes I feel really painful on my right (I think Twin 1 is pressing against my nerve).

Today, I almost cannot walk when the pain on my left is so extreme. I feel like bursting apart, my pelvic bones are going to break each time I step my left foot onto the floor (Twin 2 almost engaging?)

Just imagine I have almost 2 more months to go (my EDD is July 10th) and even if the boys come out earlier, say 36 weeks, I still have to bear the growing weight for another 1 more month!!

Really cannot think of anything that would be more painful than twin pregnancy.
Must really make hubby to buy me some nice women’s lingerie as a compensation to my suffering!

ESPRIT or Maclaren

We are still considering whether to get a double stroller for the twins. Side-by-side twin stroller can be quite bulky after fold up, even if it is an umbrella stroller.

Hubby went to check put the new Esprit stroller from Toy’RUs yesterday and they really look good. Furthermore, the price is quite reasonable since there is a promotion going on or maybe I should consider using the Target coupons from online purchase. Currently considering:

  • ESPRIT Speed Sun Duo Stroller-Red RM519 (brand new)
  • Maclaren Twin RM600 (2nd hand)

But twin stroller are unlike singles whereby the seats are more narrow. We are afraid they will not last long for the boys as they grow and it would be a wastage as they are not cheap either.

  • Care to share your views?
  • Which model would you choose?

Outings for Father and Daughter

For the first time, hubby brought QQ out alone yesterday for a few hours. She had an follow-up appointment with the Paediatric Ophthalmologist at ISEC, Mid Valley yesterday. They also went to get some pet supplements for my SIL. Since I could not walk for more than a few steps, hubby just got to manage her alone this time. I was so afraid she need to be pinned down again to have the eye drop, but luckily, it was just a casual check-up, to see if her specs suits her.

Her next appointment will be in October, together with her 2 brothers. Poor babies, hubby was thinking they will be really too young to be diagnose at that time. Probably we just have to skip the appointment for the babies at that time.

Little gift for my brother

18.05.08 / best & good / Author: chinneeq / Comments Off

My little brother is sitting for his government examination this year. I am now wondering what to get for him if he gets good result for his last examination. Not sure if he wants to go to the Disneyland. Nah….boys normally prefers something related to sport, I suppose. Maybe it would be a good idea to ask my friend to get him one of the Miami Heat tickets for his favourite NBA team. I know it will not be easy to get the tickets since they are sold out quite fast. Furthermore it is so difficult to get a nice seat unless I really have ways to get the best ticket for him.

Some understanding about marriage

Am really not in the mood to write anything, since something very serious pops up at home (having to deal with mental disorder patient) which require a lot of attention and coordination with the authorities. Sorry I have not been able to blog hop too, at the moment.

So just going to pen down some conversation I had with my girl, that could really lighten up my day.

  • to test her understanding about marriage

QQ: Ma…I am going to get married.
Me: With who?
QQ: I wanna married with kor-kor (she keep on assuming I’ll give birth to a kor-kor for her)
Me: Why you don’t wanna marry Mummy? (that’s what she used to say last time)
QQ: Coz you married Papa mah….so I married kor-kor lor…..

  • to test her knowledge again on understanding of race

Me: QQ ah, can Chinese married Indian ah?
QQ: Can…
Me: Err…what colour is their baby?
QQ: Black and yellow la…..(don’t mean to offense yeah)

As long as she will not move out early with her boy-boy and get a home with the at a Outer Banks rentals, I’ll be pleased…
