Same as me la…, even a 4D is difficult to understand, hope they have 10D instead!! Well, probably with the labels, it is more easier to see the pictures 
I was silly to forgot to bring my camera, nor a thumb drive when I was schedule for a 4D scan in HUKM (really wasted!). This is the only picture printed that they gave it to me.
Why can only see back of the heads?
These 2 brothers still prefer to hide their face, so they only let us capture a picture of them together from the back. Hubby said fine, since we will be seeing them soon, they can’t hide for long.
Scan result:
Everything seems to be fine with the babies, and gosh, HUKM really has good facilities and special room (with a screen on top for scanning mummies to see their babies while the 4D scan is going on). No sign of thyroid found on babies’ necks.
Thyroid problem:
Wai Leng, you are right. HUKM in one of the few research centre in the country for endocrinology.
Pro: Now they are taking me into their research on “Hypothyroidism in Pregnancy” (with very close follow up on my antibody level) until I give deliver. I was told it will be an extremely expensive antibody research but will be absorbed by their research centre.
Con: I need to constantly travel to HUKM (+ being poked) for the antibody blood test for this research besides the usual monthly thyroid level blood test for pregnancy.
Instead of having to wait for a long queue for usual antenatal check up, I was assigned to a ward for a rest on bed while waiting 2 doctors (pregnancy and thyroid related) to come and see me.
How nice if every month also like that so I don’t need to queue anymore for my check up

Does HUKM have 3D scan? 3D scan more clear leh. Glad to hear that everything is fine and that HUKM is paying the bill. That’s another miracle for your, right? Hopefully everything will turn out well for you and your babies.
only the research part…i still bear all normal cost…

congra to u, chin nee….the twins are boys…they so shy to see the world yet, just like mine before, i cant get a single 4D photo every time i scan my tummy as my boy didn’t want to show me his face..

You become HUKM “white mouse”. But it very good for medical developments and we should thank you. It’s not easy to carry twin and I think you are doing a great job.

aiyer…2 mickeys. whats the difference btween 3D and 4D scan? My SIL did a 3D scan, and we can tell that based on the Baby’s face, he look EXACTLY like his father.

hahaha these scans no matter how many Ds i oso cannot tell what is what and where is where! wahhh no need to queue in HUKM?? wahhh i remember i went there once n despite my mom knowing the gynae personally we still had to wait in the queue for soooooo long!
normally got to queue, but now a bit different coz i see 2 different dr at one time.
That’s the beauty of being enrolled in a clinical trial. You will be attended to by the specialist at each follow-up, which is not the case if you are just being followed up in the general clinic. Hope everything will go on smoothly for you.
