Don’t Hold on to Anger

Can you see the dot?
Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned. —- Buddha (563-483 B.C.)
I like the phrase above. It reminds me of 2 kinds of people in the world.
Type 1:
He learn to see what is the benefit of having that dot on the paper. He could draw a nice picture out of the dot. He appreciates that he still have lots of nice clean space that is available in his life, and he still smile, not letting the dot bother his happiness in his life.
Type 2:
Unfortunately, some people choose to hold on to their anger, blaming people who messed up their piece of white paper that make the dot seems bigger to them than it actually is. They sleep by having the dot on their mind, they wasted one whole beautiful day just because of one dot, forgetting they still have lots of nice clean space to draw in their life.
We have so many types of people in this world. But what if you have to live with someone of Type 2, that happened to be your loved ones, who choose to live by the flaw? Argghh….isn’t it irritating??
I feel so lousy and sluggish everyday. Probably have to do the colon cleanse to keep my positive energy going :p

it’s very hard living with people with plenty of angst. It’s like the whole world is always against them. they are very hard to handle.
yeah…..sigh…so close minded!!!
Life is short - why sweat over the small stuff right?
Ya we need to accept people goodness and limitation. Think another way - without the black dot, white colour won’t be so contrast. In other word, without sadness we won’t know what is the most hapiness to us.
yeah….u r right!!!
Wah, very deep message today. I usually find it hard to get angry with people… except my husband!! LOL!
Even if it’s irritating, but we just can’t change them. So, accept them as they are or kick them off! hahaha……
I am a very clean cut person. Can’t stand? Then, kick them off loh! hahaha……
I liked that, especially the quote from Buddha, it really resonated with me. Thanks for the insightful post.
