Upfront Confinement Preparation
Initially I thought to DIY my confinement since I should be more experience in baby care and breastfeeding *ahemm* by now. But since there is another extra baby now, I should be doing some preparation on my part too, even though I would have a CL to assist me.
Since we have no family member to help us here, there are some pre-arrangement that I think get ready upfront, such as the buying of herbs, and hospitalization arrangement (such as catering).
A friend of mine recommended getting the 30-day pre-packed herb for my herbal soup. Even my CL suggested that, since it helps a lot getting everything ready upfront just in case 2 babies are too handful to manage.
My dear friend Liz even offered me to prepare my herbal bath so another task taken care of.
Since CL only arrives after I discharge from the hospital, I need to do is to get some simple herbs for my red date drinks (and pre-packed them myself) so that hubby/maid can just cook them when I am hospitalized.
Meals during stay in hospital? Haha…I got some SAHM friends standing by to cook simple dish like ginger fried rice or ginger wine pork so hubby can collect and send them to me. Or any other easier options?
Anything else that I missed out? Probably also some personal medical care from home medical equipment to standby before my deliver

Herbal bath come in package now. You can get it from medical shop. During confinement, I was the one who went to herbal shop to get extra stuff.

I took shower everyday from the day 5th. Shower with boil herb water. I had a hair wash on 12th day and had a second wash after bb full moon. If you have out of herb for shower, you can just boil some ginger and lemon grass.
wah….u can tahan until the 12th day to wash hair? Even if I dont take shower, i just need to wash my oily scalp!!!!!

wat abt those chinese med that i took during my confinement like jui fong yuen and another one is supposed to ‘push’ the lochia out from ur body? if u want, i will find out the name for u..
if bb are very heavy and u wanna ‘bou’ ur backbone, go buy ‘dou joong’ from chinese med hall. u can boil it together with ur red dates soup.
home birth is very common is western country but not here. but if wai han has done it, no harm trying too. but gotta check with gynae. u might need c sect for twins delivery but if everything is ok, why not try at home?
and oso ‘tong sum’ to ‘bou hei’.
