How much to spend for CNY clothings?
Everyone is talking about their kids CNY clothes and I see a lot people really willing to spend a bomb for their kids clothings. With more kids coming, we try to cut down our expenses and see how far we could go this time.
Remember once we went MV but couldn’t get any CNY clothes that we like for QQ? Well, this time I manage to find a nice pair, just within my budget and I am so happy with it liao (so kiamsiap Mummy this year!)
Hubby thinks I must be crazy and keep on buzzing me to get her another pair….
Well, QQ wardrobe is full of clothes and since she hardly wears them, I don’t see there is a need to spend so unnecessary since she is going to outgrow them soon. Would be able to pack them into luggage soon if she can’t fits in them.
And well, this morning, she gets another 2 pairs, one from her cousin, and one from her nanny 
HAHAHA…..no need to buy liao!!!!!!!!!
Wonder how much most parents allocate for each of their kids clothing?
For me, 2 each for my children and my budget is around less than $25 LOL…Im a stingy mummy..

My 2 SILs(my 2 eldest brothers’wives)will buy for my girl every year.I will see if they buy mostly tops then I will get the bottoms only. You’re right, children will outgrow their clothes very fast, somemore my girl spends half the day in the kindy. So no need to invest more. I think I’ve spent over RM100-200 on her CNY clothings and shoes.

Frankly, we do not have budget for children clothings. We don’t even go and buy new clothes for them during CNY…hahha. They have a lot from their birthday pressies so no need to waste money and buy.

hahaha the cny kungfu clothes J got is from my sister. So far i buy and buy to keep for future use. I buy in warehouse sales, RM5 per piece and a few pair of jeans BIG ones can wear long long time. Kasut also from warehouse sale, 9 bucks only. Eh i see tesco also have nice CNY clothes RM16.90 only.
can really save a lot in WHS ler…
i don’t really set a budget as long as it’s not too expensive lah. My parents bought him a red t-shirt (50% off from Osh Kosh) and hubby already bot him traditional costume when he went to Shanghai last month. Only poor mummy no new clothes

Aiyo, I haven’t even started shopping for CNY. My attitude when comes to my son’s CNY clothes is buy also can, don’t buy also can. If I happened to see suitable and nice ones, then I buy-lah. If I don’t, I won’t go hunting for it either. I’m such a lazy mommy-lah!

most of my kids baju get it from warehouse sales cheap cheap good good… LOL!!! this year i did not buy any for my kids all baju bot by my sis so ‘han fan’…

I buy 3 sets for my boys with 1 new pyjama….but, this year, so far, I only manage to get 1 set….anyway, since this year, only went back to hubby hometown, no need buy more, cause won’t go anywhere except sitting at home….kah,kah..so save my money..
at home wear CNY clothes so hot hor..hehe…
i no set budget too, as long as it is not too expensive and look really nice and the material is comfortable will do.

i didn’t set my budget to buy clothes for my son, i seldom buy branded for him, quite wasteful. if it’s so cheap but not nice, how to buy? now, he has more than 10 pcs of new clothes for CNY..hehe, thinking to buy again if I see nice clothes. my fren spend RM1K+ for her 2 kids. too much for me..

hmmm… i myself will get 1 or 2 news shirt or pants for the whole family, something with RED colour ( for shirt la) … hehehe. Not necessary have to be expensive … nice and comfortable .

It’s tempting to spend a lot on kids’ clothes because they look so cute in them, but they grow out of them so fast huh? Better spend on me! hehehe…

i wouldnt spend a fortune too. If there’s a piece which is worn like once, then i’ll make them wear it. If I can’t find one, then i will just buy what i can afford, and will never go overboard.

i think it’s a waste of money to buy expensive clothes for kids, as they outgrown it so fast, some are hardly worn.
i’m the kind of ‘reject shop’ mama. good brand, cheap price.

We don’t normally buy new ‘kai kai’ clothes for the kids except during CNY. So we don’t really hv a budget, as long as it’s nice and suitable.

As u said they outgrow very fast, and i also bought them new cloth on normal time not only during chinese new year, actually my boys still got a few pieces new one, so i don’t bother to buy also. hahahahaha..just get them one set new one.

I will buy whenever there are sales and good quality one… so normally I’ll buy abit bigger in size then can save till CNY,… normally I won’t buy infant/toddler outfit more than RM50.

didn’t set any budget for the kids clothing, will buy if I like it and when I think they need it, normally won’t be more than RM60/pair.
kids grow up pretty fast huh…i think they need new clothes all time….not oni CNY
I will try to spend less than 10euro per piece for her clothing. Luckily I am not brand consious person.. ;p Hmm.. I think I got 2-3 sets of new year clothing for her this year!
