Paper Dot Art
This is easy, go try at home with your kids!
In our playgroup last Saturday, Vignes came up with a brilliant idea for the craft. These are some of the art work done by some of the kids.
Guess she must have punched the papers the whole night. The art is created just like how we do sand art. First, we apply lots of glue on a print out picture. Then paste those dots onto the glued area. Finally shed off the loose bits.
Isn’t this beautiful? I mean my scrap , no lar…..I mean the kid’s art work!

Nice and cute!
thanks…
Very nice, punching the paper whole night..sure very tired!
hehe…huisia, i bet so !!
Interesting!
khong, go try it
Beautiful! Also the way you put them all together as well..
just like the blog owner,,,hehe…*beh tahan*!
During my primary school, teachers always asked us to do that.. I used to got A on my art job..
You really take good care on your kids education and development.. always create so many of activities for your kids.. good good mum !
ah, kee yit, i bet u will be one too!
I didn’t finish the craft at home as my hubby said very messy… me malas pulak to clean up…so ended up my Xuan Xuan’s bear half way done…sayang hor…
nvm la….at home can do also…train your gals to sweep lol….
Last time during childhood, we use quite sharp object to “tok” the color papar onto a image that already apply some glue. easy too!
wah…that would need lots of patience and time wor…good training!!
your scrap really matches their artwork…very nice.
*blushing*….
Great idea! Thx for sharing. If the child likes to draw, can even ask him/her to draw n ‘color’ with the polka dot papers. Really need craft ideas to fill up XY’s time since it’s the schl hols.
haha….yeah…good to have more things for them to do especially now.
great idea …
but, i tot qiqi’s one is Mickey, manatahu is balloon pula! LOL
CP, she loves balls and balloons a lot!
oh ya.. I remember doing this for art class back in school.. was much fun.. am sure the kids had loads of fun too
it has been so long….u must have really good memory, or i m old???
That’s very creative. My daughter was using a few hole punches last evening to create greeting cards. These hole punchers are decorative and had different shapes. The one she was using punched holes in the shape of hearts.
its hard to find those good punchers with very light punching. we have, but it is lousy.
Great idea. Kylie played with the puncher last Sunday and daddy scolded her for messing up the house with the dot papers. Now I am going to let her do her art work using this method “pula”. Hope she won’t get confused. Can or cannot play?
sure…why not?
their artwork is great and so is ur scrap.
creative work.
hehe….u make me pai seh liao!
good idea…
Both QQ and Mom Chinnee’s work look good!
keke…..fun and messy too!
will let my boy try it, school holiday made mummy busy with him only…
haha…enjoy your fun at home!
hi, i chanced upon your blog during my search for a pre-school for my son. I then wrote in to Rani at Montessory World http://ranimon.wordpress.com/
She asked me to write in to you to seek your help in finding a montessori pre-school. I am staying near Bangsar, and am very sad to see the row-house pre-schools here
Pls help me….as i can see you have found a wonderful school for ur daughter…
Hi Neelum, thanks for dropping by. Will write to you soon.
What a cute craft idea!
yeah…good to have creative mums with us hor!
nice!!!!!! but looks quite messy yah..
use a container to shed off the bits mah….
hmmm…. is a nice art work for kids…. but not for small toddler lor, the dots so small .. hahahah. but ur srcap is nice lei
Anggie, use bigger pieces of papers and let your boy experiment the fun of glue.
Don’t know when I can start these kind of art works with Darrius…
Angeleyes, u can too, now. Let Darrius play with the home cooked starch of u worry bout chemical.
I like this one too. It’s easy for the kids. At least it’s the kids’ work, not the mom’s.
yes….it is fun playing with the glue…hehe….
this remind me, when i’m young i do something like this too during my art class. hehehehe
isn’t that fun?
Oh, I never did like arts and crafts at school. No creative streak in me, I guess. Next time, hope my son wouldn’t require too much help from me in this subject. Haha!
wow…so you are one of the potential doctor out there?
Punching those dot is so much of work, but it is always fun to make it.
get sharp puncher, then u will save your energy
Thanks Chin Nee for sharing.
I’ve gained some ideas on what i wanna do for my twins and girls bday party. I usually plan the games and activities myself instead of relying on the party hostess like the KFC or McDonald. Thks.
The Sunday schools that my kids attend are something like what u r doing , too.
Keep up the good nobel work as a volunteer.
