Really *beh tahan* looking at my girl. Look at how she holds her boyfriend, hehe….
Last Saturday we did not have our playgroup. Instead Jane invited us to her apartment so the kids can play in the water. QQ and Jia Jun were born only weeks apart so they were quite close to each other. Can see poor Jia Her playing alone in the water? Haha….no.2 kid is actually quite independent hor…..
Jane’s baby is going into 3rd month, and HOORAY to Jane, she still manage to breastfeed exclusively until today. Breastfeed baby are more easily contented since it is so convenient as long her *milk supply* (I mean Mummy) is there.
Can’t find Jane’s son, Kai Jie? He is somewhere, not in the mood to swim that day.
Thanks to Jane, the kids really had fun that day

See what we have got in our mailbox?

Am surprise to see this little cute purse for QQ. Came all the way from Penang, thanks to my dear friend. This little purse come just handy for QQ to store all her Ang Pow (red packets) during the coming Chinese New Year!
I am really grateful to get to know many good friends during blogging. For instant, I was still sleeping on early Sunday morning, and suddenly my handphone beeps. I’ll usually jump up instantly, knowing it could be call for offers, and while I wanting to rush down the stairs to start my computer, a bunch of offers had been reserved for me!!
Thanks a lot, my dear friend

Pineapple tarts has always been my favourite. This is also the only cookie I will attack whenever I visit homes during Chinese New Year, especially Melaka homes!
Warning ahead: Quickly hide them when you see me coming (before I finish everything u have)!!!
This year, I am tempted to make this myself, and had even bought the pineapple filling today. And I wish to make something like this:
.
.
.

If you have tried this with those BIG chunks of pineapple,………..you will know how Damn Shiok that kind of feeling is. My Nyonya neighbour in our old house used to give us when they came out fresh from oven and guess what, we GOOBLE them down immediately after it is send to our house.
But alas, after searching high and low, recipe book or internet, I couldn’t find the recipe for the Nyonya Pineapple tart. I was told the secret ingredient for these lovely Nyonya tarts is lard (pork oil!) and it requires special mould. So, please, if you come across the recipe, or if you have it…..
Please, Please, Please, I Beg you……Send it to Me Immediately!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It really stinks when the garbage truck passed by leaving trail of water drips on the road. Just imagine how much garbage each of us is producing today. And even though with the recycling program that we are having now, not every household really segregate their home rubbish accordingly. You can say most of us are still lack of awareness and knowledge about recycling, about going green with the environment. In the end, all the recycle-able items and the wet items goes into one bin and ended up on the dump area.
GreenandMore.com is a company that offers hundred of eco friendly and environmental products to help with the environment. Most of their eco friendly products even have a green learning center with top information from sources like the EPA and even US Dept. of Energy. You can even read more information about going green from their blog, “GreenMusings”. In this blog, there are lots of stories where their employees and public share their stories and photos.
We can even easily get your household products and electrical items from this company. Not only we could help with the by saving the environment, we could also save lots of energy and most importantly, our electrical cost with the energy savings.

Edward Ah-Ku, we miss you lar!!!!
My youngest brother used to be very close to me when he was a baby. When he was born, I was already 15 and he sticks to me even more than my mum. My little “ward ba-by“…..
During Christmas my parents and my little brother came over to stay for a few days. My parents don’t actually like KL so they left after 2 days, leaving Edward in my house. It is good to have him here, at least I got someone to help me with the dishes and entertain QQ….hehehe!!!
But he only stayed for another 2 days before my father came to pick him up. Now, it is really boring just having me and QQ at home during day time when hubby goes to work
Issh…no fun now! Anyone wanna come accompany and play with us ah?

Thanks to a couple of my dear online friends who send me some nice awards and tags.

I am thankful to Lovely Mummy for her kindness to send me this best blogging buddies award, and yes, I cannot deny that through blogging, I found many wonderful friends, even friends whom I have not met but as if we have known each other for long.
Also thanks to Ginie for the little standby dolphins on the true-blue-award . In fact, both of us actually are staying in the same area, and although we have not met, we have shared similar interest in food hunting. At least something common on interest huh? Hope to meet you one day!
I remember I first get to know Trinity when I first read about her post with a sketch of how they do their sleeping arrangement. That’s how our friendship started. And now, with the new comers coming on their way, it definitely make me think twice again how we should sleep in future, and until now we haven’t got a good solution. Thanks Trinity for the tag and here is mine.

Unhealthy craving strike again!
I was just telling Shireen that I am gonna get this for my dinner and here I got it last night. The most forbidden burger in town, can guess?? It is no other than our local famous Ramly Burger
Hmmm….Yummy yummy..!!!
Lightly grilled with a dash of Maggi Seasoning (and lots of MSG I supposed), a bite on can really send one to heaven. But I don’t really dare to keep the frozen stock at home as it is most frightening to witness the amount of oil coming out on my pan when I grill this.
Don’t worry, if you crave for the above, you might wanna try something more “healthy” and “classy”.

If you love JJ Sandwich or the Chicken Sandwich from Starbuck (my favourite), you are going to love this too. It is so easy to make this at home, a healthier choice too as compare to the previous. See recipe.

Able to move to a place like Costa Rica is the wildest dream for many who live in the cold and freezing country. Rich in ecology and flora and fauna, this is a nice place to live in. Many would love to move to this place what they called “Paradise on Earth”. A lower cost of living as compare to US, living in Costa Rica can be quite comfortable. In fact, education is free in Costa Rica. It would be good to invest a real estate investment in this hot spot as it has a good resell value. If you love to find out more on investment, Coldwell Banker, an experience real estate company would be able to give you all the details about property investment.

Although I can cook well, I haven’t been touching my cooking oil at home since 3 months back. My nausea is bad that I haven’t been able to tolerate any cooking smell. Can you imagine how torture it is when one of my neighbours fried a fish or cook their sambal?
It is so bored eating out all time so we sometimes boil and steam simple dishes at home. Ways of doing it:
Vege: just boil and eat
Chicken thigh: steam with soy sauce or salt
Soup: I can only stand soup with simple boiling without strong smell
Before this, I cannot imagine myself eating such “healthy” food when Jazmine told me she is eating this daily. Hubby was concern about the nutrients we are all getting, but hey, besides oil and salt, aren’t we getting the nutrients right?
So, when my mum was here on Christmas holiday, we at least had some “stir fried” decent home-cooked food.

Poor QQ hasn’t been eating well since we ate so simple these days. See how happy she is smelling those food from the table.

Pity my dear girl, even a mouthful of plain rice with the stir fried vege from grandma can taste so good!!!!
Oh, Grandma, can you please come and cook for us again ah?

Since many claimed that Pediasure works to gain weight (solely on Pediasure and not mixture with other milk powder on alternate feeding), we got 4 little cans and let QQ try it.
True enough, she gain 1kg immediately after that! And also burnt a hole in our pocket.

But since we got no stock already, she has to go back on Sustagen pack until I replenish Pediasure. Mummy was so stupid to make her milk scoping with care from that foil pack until QQ reminds mummy that the powder can be pour into the empty Pediasure can mah…Aiyo, my brain no longer working liao…!!!

Remember she hated her medicine and I had to beg her for it? After 3 days of struggling, I decided to let her play with her syringe and pump water into her mouth herself. See how much she enjoys the fun with water? Drinking medicine has then become a bliss
Thank you to all your well wishes, now she has finished her course and is eating normally again (even took sambal belacan at nanny’s house last nite , haha!!!)

Since yesterday QQ gets a lot better and her fever has subsided since 2 nights ago. Her gums are still swollen, ulcers and throat not healed complete so all she still couldn’t eat as of last night (she must have lost lots of weight too :()
But at least she is back playing very actively again and we even visited our neighbour (her friend Iris) during Christmas. Even QQ had some Christmas present from her Lee Yee’s jie-jie and a dinausaur egg from Iris too. I guess Papa is the only one without a present from anyone, not even one of those plasma lifts for himself as he planned to, hahaha!

Good that I had my parents here with lots of food from home too (with lots more in my fridge) so the house is more merrier during the holiday too. But they just left, wonder when I will be fit to travel back and see them again.
Thanks also to Uncle Allan for the Christmas card all the way from Singapore, my dear old uni friend who has not fail to send me any greeting cards since graduation till now.
Last but not least, thanks a lot for your well wishes, and yes, we are all getting well now:)

My mood swings badly recently, probably due to QQ’s fever after the Barney shows. There is no Tong Zhi celebration (glutinuous rice balls to eat this festival) and this Christmas is a dull one for me too!
Had to cancel our plan back to Melaka to see the Christmas Light in Portugis Settlement and instead get my parents up to visit me (they are on their way up here right now:(
Her fever this time was horrible. For the first time since birth, her temperature goes up as high as 39 degree, and indeed it made me panic.
For the whole 3 days, I couldn’t get enough sleep, and with lots of additional whinning, she really made me lost my patient and I had to caned her hard with her little hanger this afternoon.

Her pead said it was sign of herpes (swollen gum, sore throat and ulcers on her tongue) and she was given lots of medication for it. Not only it torture her a lot with the frequent medication intake, it tortures me a lot as well having to beg her to take swallow BIG bottle of sweet syrups. Aiyo…syrup only mah…how bad can it be??
Can feel that the heat is somehow building up in my body now. Oh GOD, please spare me and my little ones, ok?
I have a confession to make, I am almost in my twelve weeks and a fever is certainly not what I am anticipating for at the moment. Sorry I delayed this announcement, just wanna be sure with everything after the recent incident.
Last but no least, Merry Christmas to all of you and hope you have a better Christmas and fun than I do.

Yes, we managed to catch Barney and Friends on Thursday, the Raya Haji holiday here.
We are really dissappointed with the show management as this time, they only fenced up a small area in front of the stage where only 100 kids could enter into the zone. When they annouced this, most of the poor parents had to run like cartoon to the Information Counter to register their child.

Even though not being able to get Qiqi in, we still manage to stand at the front row of the fence. It was horribly crowded and in order to catch a glimpse of Barney, each parent was carry their child, higher than another, squeezing and sweating like mad.
They managed it better last time with a huge area closed up for all the kids where the parents at least could stand around a bigger zone, having a better view. This time the organiser betul-betul no brain!

It was a coincident that I saw my sis and her kids too. Look at this shy QQ, how she hide herself in her stroller when her cousin brother wanna take a picture with her. See how tiny my girl is as compare to Brandon who is just a year older than her. She is so skinny that I think she needs some muscle building prohormones , sigh!

Finally I found the “Lat Thong” (Hot soup) shop in Seri Kembangan, thanks to Msau for the help on the location. Situated behind a post office, it is quite easy to locate.

Not sure if there is anything wrong with our taste bud or what, hubby and I still feel that the Sg.Chua, Kajang’s version taste better.
However the price in this shop is quite cheap with a reasonable serving too (RM7 per head for both spicy soup or the Fa Thiew chicken).
For more photos of food and location, you can visit tekko’s blog for more details.
Hmm…must go back to try the Kajang one again one day !
