Would you considering giving a supplementary card to your child when he goes to university or college later on? My siblings and I were pretty lucky to own a credit card when we went to university. We even get a cash loan for our tuition fee with very low interest. That basically covered all our education expenses and we only serve the instalment later on when we came out to work. The credit card was very useful during travel or when we need to spend urgently. Of course we were careful that we don’t simply swipe on the card during our shopping spree, haha……
