Al Rajhi Bank WORKS!!
For all who concern if the money transfer from PayPal to Al Rajhi Bank works, yes, it WORKS !!!!! After much doubt and thanks write up from Steven and Yinsi who managed to convince me that transfer to Al Rajhi, I finally did my transfer a week later after I open my account.
Details of transfer here:
Fund transfered from PayPal: 26 Oct 2007 (Friday)
Fund received in my Al Rajhi account: 29 Oct 2007 (Monday)
Exchange Rate: 3.2871 (without any extra charges incurred during the transfer)
Although the rate is a bit on the low side, I am really surprise it took only one working day to reach SAFELY into my savings account. I only found out about this a moment ago when Eva buzz me to check on it.

CN: So far i only know Public Bank (card issue at least wait for 2 weeks) and Al Rajhi (immediate card issue)
So you got charged USD5 for the transfer into the account only and will you be charged for withdrawing the money?
CN: PayPal charges $5 but here, bank din charge anything. Withdrawal free too

That’s nice to know. Until now I still use the paypal of my friend, although there is already a bank here in the Philippines who has tied up with Paypal. I’m having 2nd thoughts though, they have a lot of charges I think.

btw, how much do you think we are allowed to transfer for now? Less than US150, we need to pay a fee, right?
Thats very good, now we can get our Paypal money at anytime with low charges, but need to wait for a better conversion rate to withdraw.
Al Rajhi bank having very few branches. PBB debit card is more convenient although it need to wait longer to get the debit card. It is almost 1 month time since I apply. Waiting the card to reach me. Can’t wait to get my money soon

Congrats congrats. I’m using the PBB Visa Debit Card. Yeah, pity Huisia and some friends that they’re still waiting for it. The Paypal Transfer Money is as easy as 1,2,3.
Pity also that this Al Rajhi Bank is not around our place. So I guess Public Bank will do for us.

I just got my Al-Rajhi debit card but I cant link and save to my Paypal. My account shows already minus RM1.00. So now I cant even verify my card
