3rd day: Adapting well in preschool
On the 2nd day, me and nanny managed to drag this girl to school for at least an hour or so.

On the 3rd day was much better. She managed to wake up earlier. At least she allowed me to stay outside the room today and although frequently looking at me, she was doing pretty fine. Many kids start crying today and I bet their parents will have a hard time get them there again when school starts next year.
- At least she enjoyed balls and hoop in PE class today
- She get to know a friend
- She loves the noddle served
- She reacted to teacher once when teacher announced they are going to play ball
I like everything about this school, even though I initially hesitated after listening to too much rumours about the teachers there. However I was there for 3 days, and although one teacher can be a bit stern looking, they all are not really that bad. Even mums I met there told me their elder children have no problem with this school or the teachers.
Probably each child is different and requires different type of treatments. Some school might be good, but it doesn’t suit the child. Some teachers might be stern, but it do good to some students who are really stubborn. Not sure if I have done the right choice, but will definitely give this school a try before my last resort to send QQ to my favourite school which is also quite a distance away.
After all, I can always pull her out if anytime if anything goes wrong, right?
*Such a fussy mummy, hehe….*

great progress!!
I hope this one week trial leaves a great memory to her in school
it will be tough at the beginning, but slowly they will adapt, especially when they get new friends and learn new things.
I really hope so, Martini :p
Yup, they will adapt. We all do.. Your girl is so pretty too, just like Mummy, I guess.. but you know? I remember from my old kindergarten days, how my Uncle would carry me on his bicycle after school, and I was so scared because I had to balance myself on the bar of the bicycle.. Not fun at all! Scared stiff every single time..
So nice of your uncle fetching u to school, LB!
That is great news I’m sure in time it will become easier.
Oh, Vegan momma, I sounds so silly, I think….
Dont you worry, very soon QiQi will get used to school and will love it, just like my Alycia. It will take at least 1-2 weeks for her to adapt well. BTW, why does this school start the intake towards the end of the year?
Oh Shireen, they are doing a smart marketing. This is only a trial week to attract parents sending their kids there.
Well done QiQi. Maybe she has already well train and mix with people in playgroup.
kids are hard to predict….happy a moment, sad another moment…
Yes Chinnee, you are right, give it a try first and you can always change if she/ you don’t like it. I can see that QiQi looks happier compared to the previous school. She really enjoyed this class.
no more gloomy face hor…hehe
Hi, Chinnee. I can see Qiqi looks so happy and enjoyed herself with other kids. Good job of you and Qiqi’s nanny to send her to school together. As what you said, keep trying to bring her to this school, if really she don’t like then you always can pull her out.
really got no choice but to try till she can adapt herself. otherwise i very susah…
Qiqi looked pretty occupied there with the activities… probbaly she is getting the hang of it lioa…
I really hope she is getting to it….but wake up in the morning a bit troublesome
She looks like she’s having fun..
This is fungate? The system seems to be ‘opened’.
this is not fungate…they have their own system…i see a more leisure syllabus.
QiQi is very happy…good n some more nearby…
As long as she is happy, Mummy also happy right…
Oh chanel, it is really difficult….wish i got 8 kids then i wouldnt care :p
Hope she’ll like this kindy as it’s quite a hassle to fetch her to n fro the further one.
Oh Ginie, i do hope so!
yeaaaa…clap clap clap…at least she is joining the play…my belle will attend kindy but she refused to join the rest!
miche, qiqi also same la….kids got mood one!
When you see your kids learning something and grow, you sure very happy.. right ?
Yes…kee yit, great satisfaction of our “product”, haha!
Yeah! Great progress! Qiqi will adapt the school soon, give yourself and qiqi some time!
Oh….I really hope so, Jas!

Thanks Alice, I have been waiting for this tag!
she seems to be having a good time .. that’s good
Kids are really unpredictable, at least for a while, she is ok.
hhhmm looks like you found a school for QQ, and from the pictures you posted she’s enjoying every bit of it
I hope so Girlie!
She is so pretty! She looks like she’s having a nice time. You were there watching her the whole time??
Patsy…she looks at me all time….how to sneak away?
very gd progress, sooner or later she will love it unless she deosnt like that school or teachers. err. if possible try not to pull her out fr too many schools lor, dont be like me..hehehe
anyway, its now school holidays edi so u send her after CNY la, coz first mths new student oso cry one ma, after they settle down then u can send QQ there and if she ever cries, teachers will pay more attention to her ONLY. my only 2 cents, coz i did that too..
Wen, what a great tip!! thanks a lot…will discuss with hubby bout this…
Ya, no harm trying. The most important thing is QiQi must like the school.
Jo-N, i am really tired. Will just let her try whatever school i come along.
the second pic looks like they are playing mahjong! LOL
they are just learning to write :p
u really giving the best to Qiqi…
Me don’t dare to even think about it!
Everyday I’m talking to myself to have a stone like heart to just leave my gals in the kindy…

i can see qiqi doing well … patient patient. U’re almost there !! Let have fun this weekend !! k?
Anggie, same to you too!
Chinnee, great progress
I can see from the pic, Qiqi started to enjoy in the school already. Don’t worry, she will be fine. ;D
Thanks a lot, Reb!
From now on, I will follow your QQ story…now, I have a complete story of a dad (PapaJoneh) and a mum (you)..
Hi Nimrodjo, thanks for dropping by…but i can’t open your site?
I understand your relief and joy seeing your child slowly adapt to something new. Hope she has many, many happy days at kindy.
Thanks Lian, isn’t that all our dream?
Glad to see that she’s adapting well but you just gotta give them a few days. However, if you do not feel 100% comfortable with the school, just keep an eye and ear open at all times until you are fully confident with them.
Hehe…Elina, i think nowadays we really worry for nothing. If only I have 8 kids, I’ll sure worry less :p
