Ok…ok…..nobody is interested to knock on my domain door yet so there is nothing I can do, but continue to blog.
CANE will the the topic for today. A pretty interesting tag passed down to me by Miche.
I do agree that caning cannot apply on every child. I do not dare to buy a cane because I know I am one who will not be able to control myself when I loose my temper. Initially I tried frightening her with her little cloth hanger, and I even hit her with it sometimes. But guess what, she will just stare blankly at me as if nothing happen. Very thick skin hor….
I know she wouldn’t scared of me, what’s more the cane when she gets bigger. At last, I resort to only talk to her, and she seems to understand even better.
For instant:
- When I tell her seriously she must go to school, she actually quiet down (as if understand she has no choice) and went to her father to cry softly (telling her father she doesn’t want to go).
- When I blog at home, I told her she would have to leave me alone, otherwise I have to leave her and go out to work. Guess what she said “Ma, u go do your computer la” and leaves me alone playing by herself.
Tell me, how to cane like that? I hardly even lay my hands on her. Would like to know how

i dont use the rotan cane..i use hanger too. my lady boss taught me one. it is more painful and cane mark disappear faster unlike the rotan cane!

Mostly, I use cane to scare her. I did cane her before with one or two stroke. Hopefully, i could throw away the cane when she grow older and listen like qiqi
pain wor kena cane…not really good to cane them also….so pitiful i think.
Well, sparing the cane doesn’t necessarily mean spoiling the child. If ur child is the type that listens (like QiQi), u don’t need to use the cane.
I am glad i still dont have to resort to cane for her

I dont spare the rod. I guess every child is different. Some will obediently listen w/o retaliating but for my girls, I def hv to use the cane. Most times, I dont beat. At the mention of “One, two, three… cane coming…”, my gals will obediently listen. However, there are times when I actually cane them, esp Alycia who is stubborn and willfull.

Over here the government passed an anti-smacking bill May this year, after 2 years of debate. I understand the purpose is to protect children, but reasonable smacking shouldn’t be illegal ma. Getting ridiculous lor.
i believe the goverment is also doing it after lots of consideration and seeing its advantages as general. It might be a good move, we”ll never know
