The long waited morning

*PHIEW*….finally i finished reading almost all 600 posts in my feed so now I can start writing what happened on my travel.

Let me start from the beginning. We all wake up very early in that morning as everyone was getting very excited to travel. Even QQ woke up extremely early that day.

QQ had her first ride on a cab, a 7-seater Sunlight cab. See her Barney? She really had a difficult decision to make that night to decide who to bring (and obviously this purple creature was the lucky one)….

ap1020790.JPG ap1020797.JPG

By the time we reached the airport, she was fully awake, anxiously to go onto the plane. Inside the plane, thank goodness she could sit *kuai-kuai* (obediently) by herself, with the safety belt on while the plane took off and landed.

And finally we reached our destination, the beautiful Langkawi island, with fantastic flying experience on the local and cheapest flight in the region, Air Asia.

Help for your business

30.09.07 / remember me / Author: chinneeq / Comments: (0)

This is a sponsored post. Starting a business is not an easy task to do. I still remember when my uncle set up his very first business; he has to go through lots of obstacles. It is quite a norm if one person is new to business and has no experience to run one. For a start, there would be a lot of things to be considered. Finding the fund for the business, naming and setting up a structure for the business isn’t easy to do. Most of the time, finding a good location for the business is also very important, depending on the nature of the business. The most crucial part of the business is of course getting the right and suitable manpower to run the business.

However having to manage the taxes, records and paperwork can be a very tedious job. Just imagine if we have to do the papers while doing sales and marketing, meeting up with clients and sourcing for our product at the same time. Now with the availability of the incorporation services on helping setting up companies, one no longer needs to worry. Locally based in Las Vegas, there Nevada corporations now help to ease the incorporation as efficient as possible.

I am back from Langkawi!

Finally I am back to my little comfy home again. We reached here in the evening yesterday, still trying to do all my laundry since this morning (and guess what, I forgot to open the water tap so my washing machine din manage to wash until now!), the house is still not cleaned, coz we were out the whole morning, with more than 500 unread post sitting now in my feed. Wow….guess I would need a few days to check out what is happening with all of you out there during these days. Just bear with me ya….

So, about my trip. It was a wonderful trip, especially for QQ, with her first experience boarding on a flight, seeing the peguins and riding the world steepest cable car. Something happened to me as well, I got landed in the hospital on my last day before my flight back here, but don’t worry as there is nothing serious as I still manage to come back and sit her to blog. Got to leave now for a little boy’s birthday party tonight. Wait for my updates again ya….

This year’s Mid Autumn Festival would be a great day to remember for QQ. The 2007 Mid Autumn Festival marks:

  • QQ’s last play session for her PJ Playgroup. In the afternoon after cleaning the house, I managed to steal a nap before my SIL arrived.
  • QQ’s last day at her nanny’s place. She presented her Pixart photo book to her nanny after a great dinner and lantern play. QQ will be starting school next week.
  • QQ’s first time flying on an airplane. Right now we are all settled and getting ready to pack for our trip tomorrow. We will be leaving to Langkawi for a 3D2N holiday!

Good bye all, as we there are still much to pack. I won’t be around at least for a few days to visit your blog, but wait for me, I’ll be back soon, with more stories next week.

Online shopping

25.09.07 / smort / Author: chinneeq / Comments: (1)

Many of my blogger friends now prefer to shop online. For stay-at-home mum like us, it is easy to get everything we need by just shopping online. With the recent child kidnap incidents, it is no longer safe to drive out or shop around with the kids. Sometimes it is very difficult for a mum to do shopping while having to keep an eye on the kids. Even with one, I can hardly shop with a peace of mind.

Getting what we want online is not only convenient, but safer too. With the use of credit card, we do not have to use advance cash for our purchase. Besides having a 30-day interest free credit, I manage to collect points for my credit card too. However it is very important to only purchase things from the site that is secured and reliable. Merchants using the Ashop commerce shopping cart software are one of them.

My first tool set

My little girl loves playing with her a mini tool set. Even a little set like this does not come cheap nowadays. Since her father has got one in his tool storage, we decided to get her one so they can work together in the garden at home. Besides using this to play at home, this really comes handy when she uses them to claw and scoop the sand at the beach whenever we visit Teluk Cempedak in hubby’s hometown, Kuantan.

Pot luck celebration

lantern01.jpg

Yesterday was the last Saturday before the arrival of the Moon cake Festival. After the festival, the kids will have to wait another year to play the lanterns. So we take advantage of the last weekend to celebrate by having a small pot luck attended only by family and QQ’s nanny’s family. Each family prepared some food, and we only managed to finish it during our tea today. Instead of playing with the lanterns, seems that everyone is more interested to play with then candles and fire. I gather the same goes for kids in other families as well?

Baseball Equipments

23.09.07 / remember me / Author: chinneeq / Comments: (0)

This is a sponsored post. Being the only little girl in the nanny’s house, my girl is somehow influenced by the elder brother in her home play. Since the boys love playing balls, she plays along as well. She learns to kick and swirl the football with her leg, bounce and control the basketball too. It will make her squeal with delight when she sees the “kor-kor” (elder brother) bouncing his orange basketball in the yard. Nanny’s third son loves to play basketball. He even has a basketball cage hooked onto the wall in the yard so that he could practise his aim throwing the ball.

If you are looking for the baseball equipment, you might want to try out at the Kidsportsinc site. They do carry very good quality Youth Baseball Equipment such as dominant brand like Franklin Sports. They also have a ready to play line of baseball gloves of excellent quality with a microbial bacterial protection to prevent sweat problems with sweaty hands on summer days. The gloves are special and designed in such a way providing good air flow to keep your fingers dry. Besides Franklin, there are also other famous brands like the Nike baseball gloves, Mizuno, Rawlings and many other more.

Inconsiderate people

ep1020703.JPG

This is a scene taken from my table where cars were horning away while I was enjoying my morning tea in Sg.Long. I am sure the above picture is a norm situation for almost all busy housing area. Inconsiderate people parks by the road side or double park while doing some errands or picking up their children in the shop. What really irritates me is that some of these people don’t even bother to park their car nicely INTO a parking when there is a space somewhere further. Can’t these inconsiderate people just WALK a bit further? If you really cannot find a parking and must really stop a while to get something, at least come out and check lar when there are cars HORNING like mad!!!! *#&*%#*%@

Sunday Nasi Lemak fest

23.09.07 / Family / Author: chinneeq / Comments: (2)

ap1020741.JPG

We had a really tired day the night before. We organised a pot luck in conjunction to the Moon cake festival at home and we had hubby’s family and neighbours coming over (will post on that later). QQ’s cousin, Ah Sing stayed a night over with us. Since we all woke up so late, our Sunday Nasi Lemak became our breakfast and lunch. Will just laze around today so mummy can get a bit rest before attending another “self-made recycle” Lantern fiesta is evening, organised by Sg.Long Buddhists Society.

Final shopping for Mooncakes

Mooncake Festival is getting near (exact date is 25th Sept this year), and QQ’s nanny wanted to do the last shopping for this once-a-year delicacies. By now, almost all the famous brands, with double egg yolk is sold out. Yeah, even mooncakes goes on branding. See how Chinese families really splurge on expensive food like this. Luckily she still manage to grab 8 pieces of the double egg yolk mooncake those from Tai Thong!

QQ, on the other hand enjoyed herself since she gets to go to Play Zone. But as usual, mummy only limit her to one game, interesting one like hitting the crocodiles. I am very lucky that QQ will satisfied even with just ONE GAME although she longed to play for more. See how she gazed at those sweets in the vending machine so longingly. Sorry la, mummy won’t wanna create a habit to splurge on machines like that ;p

Home made Wanton

21.09.07 / Baking/Cooking, Chin Nee / Author: chinneeq / Comments: (5)

wantan0.JPGwantan.JPG

Ingredients:
mince meat (pork or chicken)
soy sauce
pepper powder
Shao Shing Wine (optional)
wanton skin

Method:
1. Marinate the mince meat with all the sauce above.
2. Wrap them up with wanton skin. Remember to press tightly
3. Fry them or put into boiling soup.

Tips: To prevent wanton skin from torn easily, use a damp clean cloth and place the wanton skin in between the cloth before wrapping. Remember to press the wanton opening so it would not open easily while cooking.

One of QQ’s favourite dish. She prefers crispy fried wanton where she will hold one in her hand, slowly bite on those crispy wanton while eating her rice. Instead having them fried crispy, I prefer my wanton with crisp green vege cook in ikan bilis (anchi0vies) soup.
