Employment vs. Business

From young, I have been taught to study hard, graduate with a good grade so that when I go out to work, I get a good paying job. The idea of working for someone holding a high corporate position in a company has been projected as being so glamorous that most of the good grade graduates will automatically fight their way getting into top companies instead of building a business for themselves.

Apparently, parents who have been into a business or failed a business know that running a business is not something easy. Unlike the stability of a fixed salary plus all the medical and insurance coverage one will get through employment, running a business is like putting a family life on the edge of the knife financially when there is so much to take care off besides sleepless nights.

Business is not about how good your grades are, but more rather a person’s attitude and persistency to succeed. Failure in business is unavoidable, but how one can turn around and climb a step higher with the experience gained without giving up is a technique.
