Do i look good with specs on ? Mummy think i sure do, and Aunty Ma-ma (Qiqi’s nanny) thinks the same too…… just hope she won’t end up with a spec like Papa when she grows up.

Qiqi’s nanny went to southern Thai for Songkran festival recently for the water festival. They brought back this water gun (can load up to 1.5liter) and since then Qiqi has been playing with it, almost every evening. Sometimes with Ivan kor-kor from next door, sometimes with nanny’s family.
This is how they chase and shoot each other. Qiqi will scream and yell when kena shoot, hahaha…..

Must be crazy that i wrote so much today, but just can’t wait to jot down some memories that i got when i was doin housekeeping for my camera.
Lately Qiqi loves to wear his father’s sleeping shirt when his father is about to sleep (hubby normally shirtless at home). After wearing the “gown”, she’ll do the boxing movement saying “tut tut tut” ….from slow to face pace (jumping around the bed). We tried to ask her and even nanny what she is trying to imitate but no one can tell. Not sure if it is boxing ? But where did she sees it ?

Just wanna capture this picture. This is how Qiqi gets the cool air when she sits in front in her car sat. Hubby is at the workshop waiting to do his wheel alignment and sms me telling me that he saw Uncle-Papa (Qiqi’s nanny’s hubby) buying a small cup of lil ice-cream from the sundry shop, probably for Qiqi. How it touches our heart and we are so grateful to have such a wonderful babysitter for our kid.

Story: The Giant Man (presentaed by Mummy Meredith)
Craft: Animals Colouring Book (prepared by Mummy Clarice)
Highlights
During this session, puja was introduce for the first time to the kids. It was leaded by Mummy Cheng Sim, and it is amazing to see that our lil kids, can follow diligently paying homepage to the Buddha at such a tender age. Story telling session was conducted by Meredith and she did a nice story about the school kids’ whom found a Giant in their school. And the story line matches just perfectly with the “lil book” that we created during craft session.
Towards the end, we sang and play as usual. Kids favourite are the “London bridge” (they love it when the bridge collapse on them). After singing goodbye and giving each other a big huge, we all headed home.
*A piece of good news to share*
SLbuddhist society is looking into renting a corner lot house to accomodate the increasing numbers of kids that we have in our Sunday dharma class. Wow…if we have our own garden, meaning we could move our playgroup there and have our weekly activities outdoor instead

It has took me many years (since Qiqi learns to walk) to correct her way of walking as she has develop the habit of tip toeing. Me and nanny has been patiently reminding her to walk properly, probaly more than 100x a day, and sometimes patience really drive us up the wall.
So yesterday when she did that again, i got mad and started to hit her legs. Once…twice…thrice….Qiqi just ignore. Looking at Barney, and idea came and i resorted to twist her ears lightly, threatening her that i am going to “tear” her ears and she’ll become earless just like Barney. Told her that was how Barney became earless when his mum torn his ears for not listening to advice.
Haha….sounds cruel ya….kakaka…. then she hug Barney and sayang him. And now pulak her turn to tell Barney, “why u din walk properly, see your mum twisted your ears and you have no more ears”……????

QiQi can speak in many many ways nowadays. She can even tembak us back with our words sometimes.
Last sunday at Jusco supermarket:
Papa: Qiqi, which one u want, Vitagen, Yakult or Yogurt (the 4 in a pack ones)
Qiqi: (after thinking a while) Hmm….buy all lar….
(Pa was drinking cold Shandy)
Pa: Qi, dun drink, afterward u got flu (your nose blocked again)
Qi: (drinking it) Pa, u also cannot drink, otherwise u got flu.
—–then in the room, both of them experiencing nose block—-
Pa: See, i told u not to drink cold drinks
Qi: Nevermind la…let’s suffer flu together
Pa: ???????

Out of all the sudden, I have this urge to take this photo down. Got some of Qiqi’s old shoes out and line them up (alas, her first pair of cloth shoes was bitten into pieces by the nanny’s dog). Kids feet really grows real fast, and each pair can only last her awhile. * The Migration of Feet Size *

Story: The Hen (presented by Audrey)
Craft: Animal Stick (prepared by Kelly)
Highlights: This round, we had a fairly easy craft, and i love it becoz it is easy to do, hehe..and since each kid has 4 animals stick, it is useful when we use it to sing animal songs. Audrey did a very good story presentation by the background voice by shy Ivan.

Story: The Proud Fish (prepared by Joanne Soo)
Craft: Mask (prepared by K.Vignes)
Highlight: Instead of reading out stories, mum Joanne got creative and got 2 of her elder sons to demo the story action by using the finger puppet colourful sea creatures to make her story more lively. Not only the children are amused but even the parents can’t help but to check out with the beautiful puppets (source: from Ikea)
